If he plays for 5 or 6 years you have plenty of time to groom his successor.
Wheedon is a stud. As many have said, if he were 22 or 23 he'd be in the discussion with Luck and RG3 at the top of the draft. But he's 28 and STILL a late 1st or early 2nd projection.
I'm pretty sure that the Dallas Cowboys have no regrets about Roger Staubach being a 27 year old rookie.
If you can play, you can play. Your age shouldn't disqualify you.
TT is right. We were willing to take Peyton Manning at 37. So why should we be afraid to take what could turn out to be Peyton Manning at 27 with 10 years ahead of him?
