Trade down and stock up for 2013.

@ClaytonESPN
Getting David Garrard leaves me to think that the Dolphins are a lock to draft a quarterback in the first round, most likely Ryan Tannehill.

Looks like i'm not the only one that thinks so.

Dolphaholic,

I slept on it, and as I posted on the other thread, I think you are right smileys with beer. We will have 3 options:

Tannehill, trade down, or defensive player.

But we have to worry about Cleveland taking him at 4.

We need to take Tannehill at #8. His skill set is just far too appealing, and his ceiling is far to high...BUT, don't trade UP for him. If another team takes him then we go to plan B and take Wheeden. Even if we have to take him higher than he's valued. That said, I wouldn't take him at #8 though. In that spot I'd grab Floyd and trade our way back into the bottom of the first round, say around 20ish and take Wheeden there.

We simply have to make sure that we can get a QB of the future THIS YEAR. Then if we have to, we take another QB somewhere in 2013.

It isn't ideal, but I can live with this group for one season, because it wouldn't be the end of the world to do so:

Moore
Gerrard
Tannehill/Wheeden
Devlin

The problem is that Floyd despite what problems he may have had is a perfect fit for the WCO. He's big, fast (than what we have now outside of Gates), quick, physical, and has a high ceiling if he keeps his head on straight.

He upgrades our big play ability and helps make the rest of the group better. We need big play guys...Floyd is that.
