Compared to $30,000,000 in SEATTLE...

5,000,000 is enough to sign our DRAFT picks but where's the $ for our Flynn offer?

Michael Floyd is a stud and I can see a scenario where we would pick him. However, I was not aware that he was a head case.

I am still hoping for Melvin Ingram though, but I have a feeling we will be drafting Coples.

That number can easily be increased. Jake Long could be given an extension to lower his cap number, although they may want to see him get healthy before that happens. Karlos Dansby counts more than $12M against the cap this year, but has no guaranteed money left on his deal after this year. They could restructure his deal to free up $4-5M. Reggie Bush could get an extension to lower his cap number. Same for Randy Starks, Richie Incognito, Yeremiah Bell, and Anthony Fasano. They could cut or trade Tony McDaniel to free up $3M. If they get Flynn, trading or cutting Matt Moore would save $3M. Chris Clemons could be cut to save $1.3M.

I think the need to see who they get. If they get Flynn, then they can restructure guys who they think can help them in the next 2-3 years. If they have to draft Tannehill, then they can start cutting or trading high priced guys, because it would mean rebuilding the team for a run 3-4 years down the road.

I know FLOYD was ticketed for underage drinking (SO WAS I). Doesnt make him a headcase. The DUI is a problem, but such things happen with youth at college... imho , it doesnt make him BEAST Jr

Floyd will excel at the NFL level. Let him do it here versus against us.

Floyd is an a-hole. He did not get much negative pub because he played for the Holy Rollers. Anyone who wants him is just showing how much they follow college ball.

are you trying to say 'I DONT KNOW COLLEGE FB?' Dont freakin try me.
I re-watched the ND bowl game for the 3rd time, scouting FSU's OLman DATKO and FLOYD especially.
I take my PHIN acquisition recommendations very seriously.

Best case is that TRENT RICHARDSON is on the board and some mid-1st round team is looking to move up for him...

Alot of folks would say many athletes are A-holes and in fact I'm an ASSHOLE myself. grinning smiley

I like FLOYD because he is physical, big hands, size, run blocks, finishes plays, runs routes, and ran a 4.47.

This is FLYNN's chance to cash in, ProFootball has a mention of us 'LOW-BALLING' him.

Loyalty to your old coach and system is worth what? A couple million dollars.

I like Floyd too. I think he's a natural fit for us in the WCO.

Flynn hasn't really proven himself yet. I say we sign him to a heavily incentive-laden contract. If he takes us to the playoffs, pay him like a franchise guy...but if he doesn't, pay him like a backup.

If Flynn is smart, he'll know he has a better chance to succeed in Miami (with Philbin) than in Seattle. If we structure our offer so that he can make more than Seattle's offer if he wins in the playoffs, then I'm ok with that...and Flynn should be as well.

Why? Seattle's OC is a former Green Bay assistant who has installed the exact same offense that Flynn has been schooled in. They have Marshawn Lynch, Sidney Rice, and the promising Doug Baldwin. They play in a relatively weak division, one without Tom Brady, Mario Williams, and Rex Ryan's defense. It's not a given that Philbin makes Miami a better choice for him.
