manning meeting with TEN at their facility. So for the record, he met with every team at their home facility except for US, who he made come to Indy even though he LIVES in Miami. And we are still waiting on this guy why exactly?

Because that's what we do! When was the last time we signed a big-name FA? Does this surprise you?

Yes it does seem a bit odd, going to him. However...Miami is "big city lights" more than Indy, more than Phoenix, and really bigger than Denver. The helicopters in the sky, all the media coverage are quite distracting. Manning lured us to him, to take a deep breath from all of the mass media and fan attention.
I wouldn't be overly preoccupied with how Philbin and Manning met. If anything it says, we want you, we'll do whatever it takes. It's a matter of interpretation.
All that effort wasted on Manning, when we could have concentrated on a replacement receiver...that's if the Marshall trade was in the works for weeks prior.
Well he hasn't signed with anyone yet, and since we are not officially out of the race, (speculators indicate that we are)...then we should concentrate on signing Flynn.
I gotta say......I respect Peyton Manning. I understand he needs to take it all in and make an informed decision. But He's being a Penis now. Pick a team and move on already.

Manning is the biggest name FA in NFL history. Time was not wasted on Manning. Who knows the true reasoning behind Manning's wishes for Philbin to meet him in Indy? I'm not going to even try to read anything into it....THAT is a waste of time.
Why would Miami put all their efforts into concentrating on finding a replacement for Marshall? WRs are a dime-a-dozen. Elite WRs are not that easy to find, that is true, but a #1 guy can and will be found.
Miami has (supposedly) spoken with Flynn or his agent. If I were the Miami Dolphins, I would talk to him, see what his price is, then decide from there. He hasn't shown the league any reason to pay him big bucks, except that he is the #2 FA QB on the market, and that only because of his whopping two game experience. If he wants more than $4-5M a year, I would look elsewhere. I've seen too many back up QBs get those monster contracts and go nowhere. Latest example is Kolb. He was outplayed by Skelton and is way cheaper. If Manning signs with Arizona, they won't be able to get Kilb on a plane fast enough. He was a giant mistake! I hope Miami doesn't fall into that trap.

Agreed! Keep drafting a QB until the franchise guy is found.
I think Manning and Dwight Howard have made decisions, they just don't want to get the flak lebron got from making it look like they only considetred one team

But that's not what he said. He said, don't draft a QB next season because he wants us to draft Tannehill or Wheedon.
That is one of the dumbest comments of all time.
Barkley is the next great QB. Tannehill and Wheedon is not.
He's traveling to the other teams to check out their facilities while they meet. He was already familiar with the Dolphins facility which is why he didn't meet here. Either way, I'm done worrying about Manning and am ready to move on. I seriously doubt he'll play here.

Yep, good luck to him. Makes sense, that way he'll get to give it back to the Colts twice a year for next three or four years.
I think when they drafted him, he threatened that if they didn't he'd come back and kick there as%s's for 15 years. He's gonna make good on part of that promise.
We need to go after Flynn before he leaves for Seattle. Ireland is gonna low ball him for sure and screw up next season for us. Draft is rich in receivers they say. We can salvage this....just need to take a chance on the kid.
