I don't believe the chances are "dwindling".
Manning knows Miami
Was pleasant when he pulled over and talked to the so-called "media circus".
I think factions of the national media try to make up new crap to get people to listen to them instead of using common sense.
As I posted in a separate thread....."Manning Mania"
I meant that as a NATIONAL "media Mania", not the attention and excitement he would bring to south Florida and Dolphin fans everywhere.
The thing I don't get is HOW could the Bronco's be interested in Manning after the buzz Tebow started last year. Makes zero sense to me other than Manning's respect for Elway in granting him a meeting.
broncos made the playoffs despite having the worst passer in the nfl as their stating QB. imagine what they'd do with the best? makes perfect sense to me, I think Den can be a player here.
Regrading the media turning off Manning, imagine the media circus with him and Tebow if he signs with the Broncos. That trumps any situation except for New York media.
This report is pure speculation and garbage. Schefter has gotten less reliable over the years. He either reports it right before its official or he speculates like every other talking head at ESPN.
To be clear, the report about him visiting DEN seems to be true but the stuff Schefter said is crap.

I do love all the "insiders" from ESPN and NFL Network giving predictions. They seem to have more people covering the NFL than actually play or are employed by the teams. And 99% of them regurgitate the same crap that everyone else has said. IMO, they have about as much insight at this point as the rest of us.
If Manning is going to make his decision based upon which city's media he likes best, maybe in addition to his neck injury he's also dealing with a brain injury. His only two concerns should be (since he'll make a ton of money regardless of where he goes) where he has the best chance for a ring and where he'll be most comfortable physically. Cold weather cities with no dome make little sense. Honestly, Miami and Arizona make the most sense for a lot of reasons. I'll be surprised if it doesn't come down to one of those two teams.
Denver is the wild card, what scares me about them is not the team, it is the management, specifically, John Elway... Elway can tell him, I know how to win a superbowl in the last years of your career and go out like the champion you deserve to go out. "I am you Peyton"... Elway is gonna give a better pitch then Ireland and Ross on the connecting with the organization and emotional level that is for sure..we lose their, Everything else we win, but not that... Ross has closed big deals just not in the NFL, a closer, whoever helped him close the Micheal Dell deal needs to be thrown in the game coach...lol
I think this is ours to lose, and unfortunately we have did this a lot in recent years
Other than San Fran I think we do have the best siutuation, and San Fran has no receivers, so they would have to add a few more Weapons, and I have not heard they were interested.
Hopefully Reggie Wayne can help convince him
Orson Charles got a DUI, hopefully this hurts his stock and we can pick him up later
Can we afford Manning, Wayne, Reggie Nelson and Carl Nicks?
> A & O: The media is pissing Manning off, I believe it.
The media pisses everyone off, and it isn't limited to Miami media.
Get real, Manning is news and he'll get that wherever he goes.
Peyton is a big Boy and knows hes gonna get attention. It would be a lot worse for him if he wasn't getting attention.
Having said all that - The media is a PAIN in the DRAIN and always will be where ever he goes!
*** My read on it - Manning knows he wants Miami, plans to get a bargaining reference for his agent and will coime back and settle in Miami unless the fins try to low ball him too much.
This is by far better than him coming intpo Miami first (which he has likely had some contact with anyway) ... and can come back with knowing what his marklet worth is.
also, DEN has way more cap space to sign all of payton's former teammates (now including Dallas Clark). UNless he really likes the city of miami over Denver, I am thinking DEN is gonna sign him. Better supporting cast, more money, more of his buddies, Elway pitching to him instead of Ross/Ireland. Yikes.
Danny Marino needs to step up here!!

Sure...why not?
Its not like the media pays any attention to the Broncos soon to be back up QB or anything...
The Denver media did the same thing when he arrived there, so it's a wash.
Denver is a real threat, though. They have the cap space to surround him with his old teammates, plus bringing on others.
The Denver offense, which is the Patriots offense, is very different than what Manning is used to running. Manning has always played in a Don Coryell based system. You could argue that the timing in the Coryell system is more closely matched to the west coast offense. But, the WCO is more horizontal routes, while Coryell attacks vertically. I'm not sure which would be easier to meld with what Manning is used to.
listening to the radio i heard something very disturbing on this topic. Word is that he is having trouble with the miami prospect cause he would have to face tom terrific twice a year so he is scared that he cant beat tom... I hope this is not the case cause history remembers epic rivals like bird magic, who knows off hand how many titles they won. or ali fraiser, now brady manning. This is where he needs to be. MAN UP MANNING!!!

Actually, it's between $38-43M in cap space for Denver.

Yeah, doesn't he know that Tom Terrific can't throw the %$^&! ball and catch the $%#@! ball at the same time.
