Who would we be moving up for Samsam???????? Please don't say RG3, that is an absolute pipe dream. IF we sign Manning, it is balls to the wall for a Superbowl run in the 2 or 3 years he has left. Maybe they could take someone in the 2/3 round, but they're not signing Manning and giving up the farm for RG3. (that little dot after 3 stands for PERIOD!)
Twitter is blowing up with Manning miami talk... Dwayne Wade, just tweeted he wants to see Ross go all in Manning in a Dolphins Uniform, others have posted helicopter pictures of manning getting off the Irsays Jet in Miami.....Jason taylor also endorsing Manning to sign with Miami on twitter in the last few minutes.....more to come I am sure

I'd be cool with that, its just not realistic to sign Manning AND move up for RG3

I totally agree.
Why would we draft a 28 year old QB and sit him on the bench for 3 years. If he is ready then we get 6 years of solid QB play. Was that post made with sarcasm and i missed it?
IF we sign Manning (and I wouldn't) I'd make sure we also drafted Tannehill...to take the reigns once Maning is finished. The only way's Wheeden would be a candidate for me...is if we sign Flynn or stick with Moore.
Tannehill will be a top 20 pick. No way we take him that high if we have Manning and are prepping for a 2-3 window. We get Manning and it is win NOW. We could consider taking a QB in the first round next year if a top prospect falls to us (ala Aaron Rodgers).

Thats not what I asked you. My question was regarding age. In 3 year Wheedon would be 31 and have sat behind Manning for 3 years. I would have no problem with that.
A&O, I would have no problem with that either, if Wheedon was guaranteed to be a top 10 NFL QB at that point. But that is no guarantee. If we are going to invest a 1st or 2nd round pick on a QB with at least a 50% bust rate then I would rather have the upside of him being around for the next 12 years or so than the upside of 6 years tops.
Besides, if we have Manning then all our resources this year need to be used improving the team around him. Manning will be here for 3 years and we can draft his replacement in the next draft or the draft after that depending on how things look. We won't need a QB for three years so what is the hurry? Let's wait and see if we can't snag a good prospect if he falls to the bottom of the first (ala Rodgers). Or we can trade up in the first if we find a guy we really like.
Bottom line is we don't have to draft a QB if we have Manning and Moore on the roster but if we see a guy we really like in the middle rounds then I have no problem spending a 3,4, or 5 on him. There will be very good prospects available in the early second and I don't think Wheedon would be a good investment at that time.

Why not....That would be the perfect scenario...Although i do have mixed emotions about the manning signing.
that would be to the likes of steve young leaning from montana. Nothing is impossible.
