Solia is to easy as most perceive resigning him to great a cost, and it would be a majic trick if Ireland could get value from him. Also Marshall and Bush could be added, but Marshall has alot of haters and varying perceptions of value, so i didnt include him. Bush i didnt add, becasue with Steven Jackson, and the fact no one wanted him last year, it wouldnt be much value added for him, to what he is worth to our offense, so no sense in adding him to the trade.
For who if it's Griffin no one how about that. All of those players you listed are good are are going to be very good, and the jury is still out on all draft picks even Luck. I would not trade one of those players even for him. I would sign Flynn or Manning, and keep all of my players, and draft picks.

If manning is healthy, i cant say I disagree, but if you sign Flynn to a big contract the jury is still out on him as well.. To often players athletic ability boost their draft stock, I like RG3, but you are right he is not proven to be an NFl franchise Qb. But also Mannings Health isnt proven...We havent taken a risk on Qb in the 1st rd since Marino, you have to sh*t or get off the pot at some point, 25+ years is a long time to sit on the pot...
The point of the poll is, I just think, trading away a player that is going to be to expensive to keep all of them, is a smart move... Which player that is, I am not sure other then I believe he should come from the defense personally...

Sure, but that will cost you a large part of your cap each year, and what gurantee do you have the he is not the next Kevin Kolb, and get those type of results Arizona got from that big contract... All things considered, if Philbin doesnt stake his reputation on Flynn there is a reason...If he does, I got to believe in the move, especially if we pass up Manning and RG3 to do it.....Persoanlly, I'd rather get Manning if medically cleared or take a shot at RG3 if the scouts and Ireland see it in him.. I am not going to make that call on either guy, i dont have all the facts nor knowledge to make either call.
I am going to stick with my iniatial thoughts of an old Peyton Manning is going to be better in the short term than any QB that we can get through the draft or free agency. Provided he is healthy enough to play good quality football. That's my answer you can't teach smarts he,and he has them, and his team simply wins a hell of alot more than it loses. I'll take that on my roster over any rookie or 3 game part time starter.
None....... give away draft picks 3 first round picks if necessary.....We hit on all those players why are we going to give them away and start all over.
It would be foolish to trade any of those players.
There isn't a player on that list I would be afraid to include in a package to move up.
I'd be less inclined to move Pouncey, Long and Wake (in that order). But depending on how the overall deal was structured, I'd be willing to include anyone to move up.

I'd have ZERO problems taking Luck #2 if RG3 went #1, or with paying the same price to get to #2. He's tailor made for the West Coast offense.

Agreed.

Actually there are two questions here. The first should be what realistically would STL accept and the second is what you want to give them.
Blending those two questions together, I think the only acceptable offer that I would be willing to give them (because of his injury history) is Jake Long.
Chyren, I didnt ask what STL would accept because we have no idea of knowing that. I just asked what the members would be willing to give up to get him, something everyone can make a judgement on being fans of the team and different players on the roster... I didnt ask what I thought Ireland would accept or could live with either.... But if you want to elaborate, or start another thread asking one of those questions, would be cool with me... SOmething, like what are the Rams needs and who would you think would be their top desire on our team.... cheers
Well, OK but I find it hard to answer the question without considering what is a "realistic" offer.
But I can play any game if you give me the rules.
Here, being that there are no rules, I'd say give them Odrick if they would take that in exchange for their number 2 pick.
Easy. No problem. I will therefore revoke and change my vote.
Edited to add that for THAT matter, hell, my choice would be Brandon Marshall, who is not on the list, if I thought StL would be crazy enough to accept the offer but oh, that's right. You are not considering what STL would take. So if I could JUST DO THE DEAL BY GIVING THEM a player, I'd get rid of the bacterial agent on the team!

Davis, Odrick, or Long. I wouldn't give up Wake. Unfortunately, I don't think Odrick or Davis will be enough. I think we'd need to give Long...which I'm ok with because of his injury concerns.
we are not trading for RG3. it will cost way too much. just not happening. get used to the idea of manning, flynn, or (gulp) tannheill. personally I'd take flynn and all of our draft picks this year and next.
Whatever value of the player you are willing to part with, obviously Jake Long will require less, draft picks, etc. Use your best judgment to determine the value you would get in return... All of them but Wake were 1st rd draft picks, Wake is considered elite, so i added him the mix... I really choose players that I thought other teams would see value or as upgrade and instant starter for their team or just about any team really...
Berk, in my opinion the only way it happens is if we trade away one of the players above in the deal... Otherwise, I dont see it happening... For the rams aquiring a stud in Wake, Long, Davis, Odrick or Pouncey, would be at a greater value then a draft pick.. If the rams could get Wake, plus our 1 and 2 and next years 3rd. They get the chance for 3 stud players immediatley and one top 100 pick next year. instead of 1. I might make that trade if i were them... Then next year We trade back in the first to pick up a second or third... So we really only lose, wake and a second
If we take Tannehill at number 8, then I'm through watching until Ross sells the team!
But in all fairness to him, I doubt that a guy who has ignored QB for so many years would use a first round draft choice on a guy who is so questionable particularly with Weeden more than likely available in the second round.

Chren we drafted john avery in the first round and 20 years later we still watching the phins...
tannehill in the top 10 would be a travesty
we should be all in for flynn, if we can't get manning (I don't want manning but he's the team's #1 choice bc ross is a moron)

RE: Me too...but, I can easily live with Tannehill at #8 even if we get Flynn. He has ALL of the tools required to succeed. Question is, will he? Very much the same as any other option we have.

There are many, many experts out there who have moved Tannehill up into the top 10, and are guaranteeing he will go there. Many have Wash taking him. Could be a smokescreen, but maybe not.
I think if Miami doesn't get a
any of the top 3 QB options that have been talked about, then Miami "maybe" will have to move up to get him.
If they lose out on all three of them, then we won't see Miami grab a QB until the mid rounds, and there will be no guarantee anything will come of that.
As far as RG III is concerned, if the Browns are serious about him, then nobody will be able to put together a package better than them. If the Browns are just messing around, then there will be a major fight, but....if any of those top 8 teams that need a QB grab on to Manning and Flynn, then the asking price will go down, which is why STL is looking to make a deal NOW! Whether anyone falls for that we will just have to wait and see. I wouldn't do it. Too high of a price right now.
Ross, as we all know, is all set on Manning. If it doesn't happen, then it is in the hands of Ireland and Philbin.
