Yeah, I would think that would be Manning's choice for the reasons I stated in another thread.

You have to wonder........Is Ross just trying to put asses in the seats?

Would Miami go all out to win RIGHT now, if they get him?

WTF would we do 2 yrs from nowor if he aggravates the neck?

I'd think they would have to grab Tanahill as well.

I don't know....

if Manning signs with us...we are making a run. Do you use the 8th overall pick to grab Tannehill? Or do you use it to add a playmaker to the 'win-now' roster? If he slips to the 2nd round or 3rd then yes. But If we sign Peyton....it is a 2 year stab.

Moore doesn't suck...he isn't the franchise QB we want....but he will be part of the plan. They will likely acquire someone to compete for #2 and/or groom for the post-Manning era.

If we sign Manning we need another primary pass target to capitalize on his ability as a pocket QB.Dynamic TE, play-making WR.

I think it all depends on how healthy Peyton Manning. After he takes the team physical and is thoroughly evaluated medically, the team will know where he stands. If there are still questions medically then I think we have to consider trading up for RGIII or taking Tannehill (dependent on our interest in the two). If there are no questions medically and his arm strength has recovered then I think we go all in to win in the next two to three years. This means spending on a few veteran players and using the draft to shore up the rest of the holes.

No matter what happens we will have to replace the veteran players on our team as they start to decline. In three years I suspect that Dansby, Marshall, Wake, Burnett, Bell, Starks, Fasano, Bush, and possibly others will start declining or are close to the end of their prime.

We are no longer an extremely young team. We have veterans at key positions and if we want to take advantage of that talent we need to start winning in the next two or three seasons or see that talent go to waste. I think our situation hasn't changed much in the past two decades. We let Marino and all our offensive talent go to waste then we let ZT and JT plus the rest of our amazing defensive talent go to waste.

Now is the time to be bold, go all in with Manning to win now or go all to grab RGIII.

Disagree. If we sign Manning we need a young, dominant O-lineman to plug into that pitiful right side of our line, more than ever. Our NUMBER 1 concern would be keeping Manning upright! A legit pass catching TE or another elite receiver would be really nice, but we're gunna need to freakin protect that guy.

Yes........I agree with the Olineman. You give Manning Pass Protection ALL our recievers (who ain't half bad) will improve as well as the running game, which gives our defense more rest.

I am not sure about the right move, for example if a team like Washington landed Manning, that would take them out of the equation for RG3, but Cleveland still has a clear advantage with getting RG3 if they want him in the draft. THey pick at 4 and have a second 1st rd pick... If Manning wants to come here, and he is healthy, you would have to pull the trigger if you are Ireland, unless you can acquire the 2nd pick in the draft before Manning hits the open market, which is highly unlikely... Which is more of a risk, Mannings health, or whether or not RG3 can become a NFL franchise QB?

If Manning is signed, upgrading the o-line is the #1 priority.

If we get a healthy Peyton, I think our plan should be this:

Sign Reggie Wayne to a two or three year deal to be our #2 WR.

Draft Riley Reiff to play RT.

Draft a seam threat TE in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Look at John Abraham, Cliff Avril, and other productive 4-3 DE's in FA.
Look at a 4-3 DE in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the draft.

Look at potential upgrades at G in FA at a reasonable price.
Look at potential upgrade at S in FA.
Look at two down 4-3 MLB in FA at a reasonable price.

Look to add OG, MLB and DB in the middle rounds of the draft.

Try to resign Kendall Langford but don't break the bank.

I think we focus on a few more reasonable veteran pickups in FA and then us the draft to shore up anymore holes.

With Peyton in the fold, we need to field the most complete team possible and not worry about replacing vets or building for the future. Use the following drafts to address those problems as they arise.

Also, I'm not sure TE is an issue. Manning loves to throw to the TE. Fasano is underrated and underutilized and Clay has shown great hands and route running. Manning will show us how good they really are and I think they will impress.

Don't disagree with the importance of OL...but I think we can fix ours without using or 1st rounder on another OL.

Long, Pouncey, Incognito, Carey, Garner, Jerry, have enough talent to make a very good OL. You remove Columbo and you instantly improve our horrid numbers. Add a veteran free Agent and maybe a 3rd or 4th round project and we are better. Especially without Columbo.

Our pass catching group is missing a speedster. If Clyde Gates can become that guy....great...but if no...must acquire a guy that stretches the D...otherwise the D sits on the underneath stuff and Manning is trying to buy time with his legs.

Fast receivers limit coverage sacks and make OL's look better.

There's really not a lot of difference between 10-6 and 6-10 in the NFL. Usually it's a a franchise qb. Just look at the colts with and without manning.

If he's close to 100% he's worth 5 or 6 wins to us.

It's not that type of injury. Once the fusion takes hold he's no more likely to hurt his neck than any other qb in the league.

I hope not.

I wouldn't mind taking Wheedon in the 2nd round but I don't want to spend a top 10 pick on a qb I think is more project than stud.

If I could get manning and RG3 I'd do it.

Sign Peyton or Flynn & FA OL Jake Scott, Jeff Backus or Max Starks

then take Upshaw , Poe(more athletic Ngata/Wilfork) or NicK Perry

2nd Orson Charles or Coby Fleener

3rd QB Cousins, Weeden, Osweiler or WR Criner, Broyles or Posey

Sign Reggie Nelson
