Rock on! We need a bruising 3rd down back. I didn't like the Thomas Pick from the second it was made.
I like this guy, described his early problems on himself 'being young misguided and stupid'. Gotta like a guy that stands up and take responsibility for problems he vreated.
Give him a shot...at 245 lbs he could possibly be our new fullback. That would be a good thing for us to have a player that can play both FB and be a backup to Bush and Thomas at RB.
I don't think he was the CFL's top rusher, I think he was like 3d. I've heard so many incorrect reports about this guy on the news today. The original story was he was the first guy ever in the CFL to rush for 1000 years, which just totally seemed wrong and indeed since he didn't even lead the league in rushing with over 1000 yards this year it had to be. Turns out he was the first "canadian" to rush for 1000 yards. Big whoop.
That said we need training camp fodder so he's as good as anyone.
Dan Thomas is supposed to be our big bruising RB and he needs to come thru next year--2d round is high for a RB to basically do squat.

He's the 8th Canadian to rush for 1000 yards, and first since 2000. I would bet they view him as a FB who could be a running threat. This way, they could use Clay more as the second TE.
Any chance of getting team mate Adarious Bowman to come on down too? He has really made the most of his second chance, and would be a really nice addition if he could stay focused down here in Miami...by that I mean... steering clear of Ricky's retirement doobage.
Word on the street is the guy can run a 4.4 to 4.5 in the 40 yard dash that makes him Brandon Jacobs with Bush like speed. What in the hell sign him before Belequeer does it dammit.

Wildcat? tim tebow? I think you just talked me out of wanting to draft RG3.

Can't see it.
I'm not investing a bunch of draft picks in this kid and then running him between the tackles 15 times a game.
Once in a while as a trick play? Sure.
As a foundation of our offense? No thanks.
I'd go with the pistol or spread offense before I went with the wildcat.
This player if we sign him is no fullback with 4.4 speed in the 40 yard dsah. This guy is Peyton Hillis, Brandon Jacobs with more speed, and the ability to take the ball the distance on any stretch play. Imagine he, and Bush in the backfield together. Damn not bad, and with an upgrade at QB you now are an elite NFL team I think.

But to be fair to TT, maybe he is saying that if all we expect to get out of RGIII is the wildcat then he is not worth it but only if that is why we are getting him but if we are getting him because he is as you think A & O, that might be okay. Then again TT is a big cheerleader for getting Peyton.
How does Robert Griffin get thrown into every thread that is started on this site. I don't like him as a player, and I hope like hell we don't try to trade up and draft him. No matter how many times you guys mention him, I am not changing my mind. He can go and ruin another franchise like the Redskins or Browns with his unorthodox style of play. I want a pure pocket passer like well preferably a young Peyton Manning. That's not happening so I guess I'll settle for the older more experienced version instead.
