Not nearly as big a deal as Cam calling the plays IMO.

Unless we pick up Peyton Manning and he's healthy enough to start, we're going to need a QB coach.

Sherman will be the OC and QB coach.

You mean like Cam Cameron was the HC and OC? A QB coach needs to spend one-on-one time with the young QBs and mentor them. An OC doesn't have time for that.

Is Bart Starr available? He played for GB if my memory is correct...

Seriously, I like all the really young dudes on the staff in "upwardly mobile" positions. We've needed that for a long time IMO.

From what I can tell I'd give Philbin a solid B+ or more in assembling the staff. But of course the results will tell all, in due time.

We can also hope this leaves room for Chad P to come on board, tho it sounds like he's more into HS coaching because of the time demands of the NFL. But I sure hope he changes his mind and Philbin likes 'em.

Saw a Tweet from one of the local reporters (Omar I think) that said Chad P. has stated he has no desire to coach.

He probably believes he can still play. Once he gets over that, I have a feeling we'll see Chad coaching somewhere.

Or he can make more money working less hours in the booth?

He wants to coach but he doesn't want to put in NFL hours.

I mean who can blame the guy?

He talked about coaching HS which would still allow him time to have a life...
