In the past that type of forecast was a bad thing for Miami; but I don't think that's the case this year. Winning in that type of weather is usually determined by who has the best running game and who wants it more. Both of those factors should favor us.

I've spent time as a kid in ST LOUIS. And it was -30 degree wind chill. And it wasn't that bad. It was a DRY COLD.

Protecting your FINGERS and TOES so that you can grip the ball or the ball-carrier, thats the fun part. Keeping them not only HOT but DRY. GORTEX makes some great thin material gloves and socks.

9 Degree is really cold, their is big difference between 30 and 10 degrees. They are going to have to suck it for this game.

I was up in North Carolina last week and it was about 20 degrees.

Trust me its nothing for these athletes...NO EXCUSES.

Now if you talk about wind, snow, hail whatever else you can think then its different.


Now that been said, do not stand in one place without moving for more than 15 minutes.

Hopedfully we are able to run the ball if it snows.

Honestly... I really dont think there is. once you get below freezing it is cold as hell no matter what. I don't think 10 degrees is really any worse than 30 degrees. They both just suck.

There's a difference. Today I shoveled a foot of snow and while it was between 15 and 20 outside. They say the wind chill was around zero. However, I actually unbuttoned my jacket and took off my hat after a while, just from the physical activity of shoveling. NFL players are big boys, they can handle it.

It's funny how people have different perspectives of cold. For a lot of us, North Carolina is considered going South for the winter. And 15 to 20 with a wind chill of zero? That's warm compared to many places right now. It's -6 at my house right now before the wind chill. It is unbelievably cold. In that weather, if a players is in the game for a while he'll be OK because of the activity and adrenalin. The guys who could have trouble in this weather are the guys who come in for a play or two and then leave. Or the guy who only comes in on third downs.

It is supposed to be windy in KC too. They'll be a ton of running plays today. But this is also the type of game that can be determined by one big pass play.

I was there. 32 degrees with very little wind would have been like Hawaii compared to what it was. I wore 5 layers (ok, one layer was a mesh jersey) AND covered up with a king-size down comforter. I bought a sausage at halftime...took off one of my gloves to eat it...my hand was painfully cold within about two minutes - and that was with a hot sausage in hand <insert lewd 'sausage in hand' comment here>.

I could't believe how many players were out there with no sleeves. There's definitely something to be said for getting the blood pumping by playing, but it was still utterly bitter out there. Big gusts of wind literally blew the paint/chalk/whatever it is right off the frozen field.

Tons of phinphans there...good show of support.
