We probably want a mix. We can go younger on offense because we have such an experienced coordinator. On defense, we have a first time DC so we probably want some experience at most of our position coaches with the exception of DB's coach since that is our DC's specialty.

That said, I am fine with an older QB coach because it means that he has good experience developing QBs. The A&M guy your talking about took Tannehill from a WR to a productive QB with a second round draft grade in 1 1/2 seasons. He seems like a decent hire.

Agreed. I am ok with Philbin and Sherman and Coyle being...'experienced'...but when you get to the positional coaches I think you gotta bring in guys who played under similar rules, similar expectations, techniques and..... you know ......didn't wear leather helmets when they played.

How about Chad Pennington? Maybe it's too soon for him.

Gus Frerrotte?

Scott Mitchell?
