Ted Ginn = Super Bowl

Who would have thunk it.....

The Bay Area 49er fans and the press are basically saying if injured Ted Ginn would have played yesterday, the 49ers would have won.

for what it's worth, I think the bigger problem was poor play calling (offense) for the 49er's....had plenty of chances to win and not put it in (and through) the hands of Teddy's replacement.

Would have been interesting to see Ginn vs. Ricky in the super bowl.

Which would contribute less to their team? Well Ginn I guess, since he's hurt.

I'd been more interested to see Jim Harbaugh against John Harbaugh.

Getting the hell away from the ball was always one of Ginn's strengths. He would never field a punt unless coverage was at least 10 yards away

I didn't fault him that much for that brush on the knee as I did not securing the ball the NEXT time when it was punched out.

9 times out of 10 that would not even have been caught. Even the TV announcers were doubting that there was not "indisputable evidence" that the call on the field, that is that there was NOT a muff, would be reversed.

However, this is a punch-happy league nowadays. By that I mean that every tackle, even on a line of scrimmage play, is accompanied by an effort by the tacklers taught to him by the coaches, to punch the ball out.

So that was the unforgiveable play, moreso than the ball bumps the knee.
