Based on the fact Ireland has a background with Zimmer, you would think he was aware of his “outspoken” nature BEFORE the interview?

There's a difference between being out spoken and being another Rex Ryan.

Either way, he's resume got him in the door. His mouth kept him from getting the job.

That happens EVERY day in business all over the country.

More to the point, if (???) this "story" is correct, WHO leaked the "outspoken" stuff?

IMO that kind of info needs to be kept private - there's no need to blabbermouth or talk crap about someone they've interviewed. IMO that undermines credibility - and its not like we have an abundance of that...

All that had said was "no comment on the interviews..." or we've decided to explore other options..." Absolutely zero need to go negative in any way. Burnt bridges come back on you... And that's smart business IMO.

At this point, I'm less concerned with the problem of a leak in the organization than the fact that Ross does not want someone who is not a leader.

You can't be a wimp and a leader at the same time.

I just don't want us to look like clowns and/or incapable of handing the interview process with tact and class.

Insecurity is the #1 reason for the diaper wearing that seems so prevalent with certain elites in this org.

Well, that is probably a separate issue, BNF, one with which I agree with you but the bigger issue to us fans (who don't know what goes on inside either) is that if we have an Owner who is somehow so wedded to Ireland that he rubber stamps Ireland's refusal to hire anyone who wants to take the Reins himself from Ireland.

I seriously doubt Ross is wedded to Ireland (illegal in Florida anyway), but at the same time he must hold him in some regard. And like I’ve said before, this is Ireland's gig and if (???) he makes the right choice for HC, and puts together a series of highly productive drafts – he’ll be one of the best GM’s in football. So time will tell, and none of us can project with certainty what any HC candidate will actually achieve.

However, if the franchise suffers yet another HC “setback” then Ireland will have soundly failed – and of course production from the QB is entwined with the outcome, either via Moore or whoever.

Another point, with dudes like the “Duh Truth” and “The Truth” and “True Truth” around here, ain’t no way we’re not all over this shit. We see everything. And we’re not afraid to tell!
