No one watching the game but again, as with San Francisco, after that fumble down 23 to 13 that left the Giants on the 5 yard line or so, the best thing that could have happened to the Packers was a quick touchdown running no time off the clock. Sure it's 30 to 13 with 7 minutes left to go but that's better than 30 to 13 with 5 minutes to go.
Well the bright side of this weekend is that now we can interview everyone that we most likely wanted to as soon as tommorow...Barring a miracle Green Bay is now finished.
packers is a classic example of its not how you start it is how you finish. They got cold in final two games with rogers and then he basically had two weeks off. For a rhytm offense like they have that is a death nail. And trying to get that back against the best front 4 in the league is not what you want.
How fast things can change from shopping around looking to own some reat estate property in perfectville to an early and disappointing exit out of the playoffs...
not sure eli>rodgers. more like giants>packers. rodgers had 9 dropped passes. that is a ton. plus two different running backs lost fumbles. Oline was pretty good but got beat easily a few times forcing throws. rodgers was clutch, he did a great job scrambling. he missed on two or three throws, which is a lot for him, but the receivers and backs just played horrible. eli had great YAC from his receivers, decent protection, and was playing the worst pass defense in league history (according to passing yards allowed at least). plus that hail mary was just a gift and he had great field position on that Grant fumble. Eli has definitely moved into top 5 QB territory but I would still take Rodgers anyday of the week.
Don't agree so much 1423. Aaron missed A LOT of open receivers by throwing too hard and not taking touch off the ball.
He finally showed me the same QB I saw playing for Cal at the Holiday Bowl in San Diego.
But I will agree with whatever poster who said that it just wasn't Eli.
There I saw the most brain-dead situation calling since Henning-Sparano.
1) Doing an on-side kick in the first half AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SECOND QUARTER when there was no reason to.
2) Doing an on-side kick being behind by 10 with about 4:43 left in the game.
3) Getting the ball at the end of the first half with 1:56 to go and not running enough to take some time off the clock but having Rogers pass and leaving enough time on the first half clock for the Giants to come back and score after pass incompletions.
Now, I know it will offend The Truth to criticize any coaching but they were more responsible for the Green Bay loss than any defect in Aaron Rogers or even the turnovers suffered by the Packers.
They called an horribly stupid game and even the announcers were criticizing them.

I was replying to Jlyell13, which is why I quoted his post. He was talking specifically about the Giants beating the Packers and the 49'ers beating the Saints.
Each team that won those games had a QB taken #1 overall.
