Date: January 11, 2012 04:12AM This is exactly why so many fans freaking out about every name linked to our coaching search pisses me off.
Everybody went nuts when it was "leaked" that we were going to interview him..."ross is an idiot...we are lost...franchise is imploding...etc". I told a good friend of mine there was no way we were hiring Mularkey and that I doubted we'd giving him anything more than a courtesy interview. The guy is a former employee...a friend of the team so to speak. That it wouldn't surprise me if they told him they'd talk to him about this position as a favor just to get his name out there and possibly help him get a different job. Now he's the HC in jax without ever interviewing here. People just need to take a deep breath and ride this thing out. Assuming Fisher goes to St Louis, there are going to be names you like and names you don't linked to this job before we hire someone. Just let it play out.
