And by the way....I dont even really want to talk about Weeden, pretty sure he will be 30 come draft day.

People complained about John Beck's age, Weeden is even older. We need a future, a QB who can be our franchise guy for 10-15 years.

Now Aqua watch the difference running a pro style offense makes with college QB's, and you will see why it's better to draft a QB who can play in this system like Luck. Watch and learn my friend.

I'm more impressed w/ Weeden right now. Very quick release. Moves well in the pocket under pressure. Has a bigtime arm.

For the record, Weeden is 28 years old and will be 28 years old at the beginning of next NFL season.

well, I guess having a franchise QB for 5 years is better than having one for none. If he really has the goods I don't think his age should disqualify him from being picked by us, although obviously not in the top 10 of the 1st....

Go Cowboys! I remember as a 12 year old riding with my dad to move my big sister in her dorm there in Stillwater.

Anywhere else but Indy Luck would start immediately. If they keep Manning this guy will be on a bench...what a waste. I fricking HATE the Indianapolis Colts.

Weeden's inconsistent but Luck's decisionmaking continues to impress me.

And his arm is a might better than Griese's.

But the key is what's up with firing Polian?

I always thought they were sucking for Luck in the first place.

oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh, I forgot. Berk will probably say that Indy had no chance of getting Luck because of Strength of Schedule.

I'm puzzled about that firing too. I'd go after Polian if I were Ross.

Agree, losing on purpose is better than losing because you don't know how to win.

Weeden still has 10 yrs in him and is a steal in the 2nd round. If he is still around later on and we couldn't put together a deal to move up and Grab RGIII then its a great Plan B .

I think Weeden is a product of the OK state system much like Griffin to think he will make it at the pro level. I would not draft him until later perhaps the late 2nd day because clearly too me his game does not warrant the pro style when you have Blackmon, and throw the ball on almost every play. It reminds me of the Texas Tech Qb's great stats, but how many of them have made it in the pro's as a starter?

i have been hating on luck for a while now but of all the games i saw him play he saved his best for last. I believe there was a very good chance that he could lose his #1 slot if he struggled but to stanfords credit they played the entire game with the lead. If they got behind i would have liked to see what luck does when the defense knows he has to pass since that will be the situation he is in when he goes to the worst team in the NFL. In limited situations when he had to pass from behind he struggled very bad and would have like to see him get into a shootout. I though it would happen yesterday. Anyway solid performace from luck and he will be the #1 pick (barring oliver luck crying that peyton is there and pulling a john elway/ eli manning lol)

Reppa would you take Luck with the 1st pick or would you take Griffin? Remember your job and career as a GM rest on your decision.

I'm not the biggest Luck supporter. I think your Eli Manning comparison is spot on. And while I'd take Eli on our team in a heartbeat, I don't consider him an all time great QB.

But in Luck's defense, its impossible to evaluate him based on this season. He has the WORST WR corps of any top 25 program in the nation.

He gets high marks for winning as much as he did this year but that doesn't help with evaluating his ability to make NFL throws. It just proves what was already known about him....that his intangibles/makeup are off the charts for a kid his age.

He may have the worst receivers but he has a Hall of Fame Tight End upon whom he has built all his passing statistics.

Does RG3, have been playing in that Houston sytem (his Baylor coach was the Coach at Houston, RG3 was supposed to go to Houston, but when the Coach was hired at Baylor, RG3 followed him) scare you since all Houston product QB's suck ass in the NFL?

No. the system plays a part but it is not the rule. lots of good pro style college qbs suck in the nfl. aaron rodgers was supposed to be a system qb of tedford at cal but look at him now. its all about the individual. can they make the throws? can they process information quickly? do they have the intelligence to run an nfl offense? do they have the intangibles?

you have to scout the individual and RGIII possesses all these attributes so i would have no worries about him being a system guy.

I agree. If a guy has all the physical talents as well as accuracy, then highly intelligent to boot, it's tough for this guy NOT to be a good QB. Penny made it on his intellect alone. Imagine Penny's brain in Michael Vick's body with Tom Brady's arm. That should sum up RGIII.

Tim Tebow and RG3 are not even close to the same style QB.

DO you realize how great of a passer RG3 is? Tim Tebow sucks at passing. Absolutely sucks.

he did not suck at passing in college niether did Pat White. why can't you understand the game is too big for some college QB's that are trying to make the jump to the pro's. If you guys think Griffin can do this then that's fine with me. However I have seen too many QB's fail when trying to make the jump in talent levels to know that if we fact in fact take Griffin of which I do not want to, and he does not pant out we will suck for the next 10 years. I do not want to take that chance with this franchise. I am sorry, but I do not like players from pass happy teams that have no way of learning the pro style game. Let Griffin prove me wrong by going to another team because I know I am right on this one.

What you fail to realize is that 90%+ of Tim Tebow's collegiate passing was 5 yard dink and dunk passes to Percy Harvin and Aaron Hernandez which allowed them two to rack up YAC.

Andrew Luck has one thing you can not teach: accuracy.

I think he was something like 23 of 24 from the pocket last night. That is insane.

Luck has very good accuracy.

RG3 does too. RG3 completed 73% of his passes, and most of his passes are down field throws. Not dink-and-dunks.
