is the same as the old plan. we hope for the best draft position possible and trade up for RGIII. we absolutely need a QB and if we can't get Luck or RGIII then we failed. we will have to give up more picks but I think it is still worth it. One thing we should hope for is Landry, Tannehill, and the other second tier QBs to have great bowl games, combines, interviews, etc. to improve their draft stock and maybe convince other teams to sit tight and draft them.
Rather than go outside RGIII or Luck, 1423, wouldn't it be better to just concentrate on our other needs (it ain't like we don't have a ton of them, other needs that is) and try to get that "franchise QB" next year because just because a quarterback is in the draft, that doesn't "make" him a franchise QB. Landry Jones may or may not be and we should certainly take a QB in the fifth round or so but should we try to force a square peg into a round hole by drafting ANY QB as our first choice?
EX-act-ly Chyren. Reality check - we don't even know who our new coach is going to be. If he is worth a damn he is not going to try to work miracles with somebody else's dysfunctional mess. A rebuild is on it's way and you don't do that by giving away draft picks.
No need to panic. One thing at a time. There's unknown opportunities out there. We'll secure a good HC and then acquire a QB to compete with Moore and others. I'll bet by the week following the SB, we will have a new HC.
See how easy it is to be optimistic. Think positively. The new HC will surely weigh the pros and cons of what's already in place. A total reconstruction of things is usually bad and unlikely. Tweaking and tuning is probably what we'll see because you don't have carte blanche (blank check) in the NFL.
