Fisher's my top choice right now. He actually has RECENT coaching experience. He's disciplined, and he's a former player like Shula was. I, honestly, don't like Gruden.

Not real sure, I know the guy comes with alot of warts, but I just think his intensity nudges him (by the slightest of margins) in front of Fisher. I'll be completely ecstatic if we land Fisher though.

I like Fisher, not sure what Gruden can really do. He inheirited a superbowl ready team. I like Fisher's egoless approach in not wanting control of picking the players. Leave that to the front ofice and you just coach 'em. I always like the Raven's model regarding that. Now our front office just has to pick the right players Fisher can coach.
With that said...........i hope they do not settle for fisher..........go for the home run..not the base hit.....or the base on balls better said....get .cowher or gruden.

Fisher = home run
Gruden = Ground-rule triple
Cowher = hit by the pitch
Yep! Even if Ross offered the world to Cowher and somehow convinced him to come out of retirement, he'd likely have a foot out the door like Parcells and Saban did while here...which means he wouldn't be nearly as effective as he was with Pitt.
I want someone who WANTS to coach, someone who has no other options! Gruden has options. Cowher has options. Fisher doesn't at this point.

HAHAHAHAA, this is to funny, you hypocrite. Your the one who loved Sparano.
Anyways, this is to the rest of you guys talking about him not drafting a QB....the reason is, he never drafted any players. He wasnt in control of that. He was just the Head Coach, not the GM and he didnt have control over the player/personnel decisions.
Thats what makes him different than Cowher or Gruden, they want all the control....he just wants to be the Head Coach.

Give me "boring" if it means winning. If you want the run-and-shoot, then you're not going to win.

I still dig Gruden first, Fisher would be cool too. Gruden just looks angry, the man wants to prove he is a winner. I bet he runs laps with the team. And he really knows his shit too. He's easily the best new comentator. You can tell he doesn't real off Cue cards.
Gruden also has an awesome pedigree.
Someone said he "inhereted" a Super Bowl team in Tampa. That's true, but you still need to manage, coach, and win games. No easy task in the NFL.
Simultaniously, he built and left a super bowl team in the Raiders, don't forget that.
Bring on CHUCKY! I love the guy!!
- he "looks angry" (what? Saban always looks pissed. Is that why we liked him?)
- he's young (He's 4 years younger than Fisher. 48 to 53. THAT much difference?)
- he's energetic (So was Sparano...FIST PUMP!!!)
- he's knowledgeable (Really? You mean he sounds good as a commentator on TV?)
- he'll but the time in to get the job done (uhh...I hope ANY coach we hire does this. I'd think it's a requirement of the job!!)
Sorry. Fisher has actually built and rebuilt football teams and won. With one he was 2 yards from winning the Superbowl. This was a team HE built! Gruden inherited a Superbowl-caliber team, won it, and proceeded to tear them down. I don't want Gruden.

Fisher built a team that was 2 yards from winning the Superbowl. That different?
Sparano was also boring football for the most part as well, s getting Jeff Fisher, is just the same, he also has some pretty bad years under his belt at times... I just hope to hell the coach isnt Fisher, I would support Gruden, Mcdaniels and even Mangini before I would support fisher.. Fisher has his share of problems and issues, he was basicly forced off the team after the whole Vince Young Dibacle, and the owner got rid of both of them... He only won 6 games his last season... So tell me again why you want him? The only reason is because he would work Jeff Ireland, not because what is best for the organization...dont kid yourself.... Yes Sparano was a players coach, Fisher is not remotely that guy, his issues with Pacman, Haynesworth, Chris Johnson, VInce Young, just to name a few...
the bottom line if you want exciting football back in Miami, you dont hire a defensive minded coach like Jeff Fisher... End of story... If developing this next great QB that you all want and covet is the priority, guess what Fisher is not the guy to coach or develop him...lol.. Fisher is Wannstedt IMO...
Gruden is an offensive guy,he would be my first choice.
A&O, you question whatever you want my friend... you guys want to hire a coach who had a worse record then TOny Sparano and Tony beat him when they played last year, even though he had one of the leading rushers in the league, and is a defensive coach... I just dont see it, sorry....IF you want Jeff Fisher, I must question you all as well on your football knowledge...
