Also i know brady is brady but do you realize what type of Team and OL he has in front of him?

Do you think brady would had been great in a bad team with a bad OL?

I think its all a matter of been in the right place at the right time folks.

I know having a talented QB helps a team but do you get what im saying?

It's a dumb question. You can't assume that nothing else changes...just the QB. If we get Ryan we don't get Long...but do we still pick up Pennington? Without Long, would Pennington had as good a year? Maybe he gets sacked and hurt early in '08...then we get Ryan as a rookie behind a crappy O-Line and only win 4 games (instead of 11). Then we get a better draft...but maybe Sparano doesn't last as long as coach? Maybe Parcells quits earlier or stays and dumps Henning.

There are just too many variables to make an assessment.

Of course we do not get long man....thats why i asked would he had made a difference behind a bad Oline.

Ok let answer how i feel....

I believe we would had won a few more games but not made the playoffs. So i think yes he would had made a difference but we still would not had accomplished a thing because the talent around him was so bad.

Like i said its a matter of been at the right place at the right time.

Thats should explain how this QB who wasnt that good won the superbowl...Whats his name they were discussing him once on this board how he stunk but still won the superbowl.

Hasn't this topic been beaten on before? What coulda, what shoulda happened--it makes us all whacky.

The Dolphins FO will now focus on all the players on the roster, those well and those injured. When a new coach is selected he'll evaluate the team's strengths and weaknesses and come up with a plan to make the roster stronger, better, at every position. I don't think any position is safe now. What happens in the remaining games will show the new coach and coaching staff who has the "right stuff," the right playing attitude to continue on with the team. We can speculate all day long on who may stay, but one thing is certain, some players we think will be here next season may be playing for other teams, and players associated with other teams for years will become Dolphins, by hook or by crook.

These pearls of wisdom have been verified by my 8 Ball. "It is decidedly so." When asked about keeping Sparano it read, "try again." grinning smiley
