The young Don SHula......give me a break..... it's a nice neat tag line to sell to the fans.....lol....What does that mean? Does it change anything other then we are going to get some young longshot without HC experience in the NFL... that is like playing craps in vegas with your team at stake..... Do you remmeber the tag line sold to us, on Cam Cameron?
Hopefully it will be Mike Shula, that's if Florida doesn't pick him up as OC which is what I just heard on Southern Sports Tonight (SST).
Trade the house for a QB, and hire Mike Shula...he's the best in the business at QB development. NFL and College HC experience, PLUS he would fill the stadium.
BUT you have to trade this years, next years and possible a 2nd rounder for a QB this year. Shula wouldn't take the job unless that's in the cards...the team has to commit to a QB and bring pride and football back to south Florida.
P.S. Shula cleaned up a he*l of a mess at Alabama, and we have one right now in Miami. He's been there so hopefully he's the guy.

He was an excellent head coach at Alabama, and came in and won even with all the problems that school had. He cleaned up the personnel and NCAA probation mess left by Francione, took over after the Mike Price hooker scandal, basically won the Cotton Bowl during Alabama's first year back at eligibility and laid the ground work for the team that Saban won the National Championship with in 2009. It's a really BIG football organization at Alabama, so how in the he*l can you say he was a bad coach. O.K. so he lost to Auburn, but after that mess he took over he did an excellent job.
Alabama has 13, repeat 13 National Championships and plays in the toughest conference in the nation.
So yes as a young guy, he's the best choice. IF WE GET A TOP QB, he would be the best to succeed at Miami.
Brian Schottenheimer would be my second choice but his lack of development of Mark Sanchez has left a bitter taste in many a Jet fan's mouth.
We need a top QB and a guy like Shula for him to play for.

What part of NCAA probation mess do you not understand? You can't recruit talent if your on probation. Shula rebuilt that program, period. He laid the ground work for the team Saban won the championship with in 2009.
Check the records a little better. Read the news wire on this website concerning the top ten coaches to be considered. It's even there in black and white.

Really, that's your opinion I have mine. Shula would be a good coach that we should have hired back in 2007. But why am I wasting my time, I'm probably replying to a Cam Cameron cheerleader anyway.
mike shula is so great he hasn't gotten a HC interview college or pro since being fired from alabama. if his name was mike johnson no one would be talking about him ever.
Trust me dude, there are no Cam Cameron cheerleaders here. I think he wasn't given a fair shake to succeed but thats hardly being a cheerleader.
Now on to the issue at hand,
"A young Don Shula" means a young, energetic, dynamic, knowledeable, no nonsense guy, thats a winner. A guy that can be the face of this team for a long time.
