It doesnt surprise me, to hear this , well I guess the extreme nature of it all. But given how Saban handled everything in Miami, and I assume to the young kids that now play for him, it such a shame that a guy like that is rewarded with success for these type of actions on any level.... There was a roomful of witnesses, that's for sure. I'd love to hear from others that were in the room, if they have the guts to speak up.
The one article I was able to find about Bell's reaction did not mention Bell saying it was untrue, but defended Saban in other ways, saying that nobody knew how bad off James really was at first, and that Saban visited him in the hospital later on.
