Phins VS Raiders

Nice offensive line play so far... Even from John Jerry at RG.

Reggie Bush continues to run hard.

Fasono making clutch catches.

Defense is shutting them down.

Seeing good leadership from Matt Moore. They continue to throw in some nice wrinkles into our offense. Moore is showing some things that I haven't seen before...like a quick release and good movement in the pocket.

It is very possible that we don't need to draft a QB in the draft. smileys with beer

Carolina put their trust in Matt Moore and went 1-15.

Carolina had a horrible O-line that year with multiple injuries...go check it out.

I live in the Carolinas. I know what they had. Trust me.

But Matt Moore is the most inconsistent player I have ever seen. If we put our trust in him, we wont win more than 5 games next season. I promise you that.

On a seperate note,

I believe picking Mike Pouncey will prove to be a better pick than Jake Long.

Pouncey looks every bit of a hall of fame player. The dude is a rookie, and looks to be one of the top 2 or 3 Centers in the league, and even looks better than his brother.

I dunno, I think I have been converted over the course of this hot streak. The Dolphin o-line looks really strong, and Daboll's playbook continues to impress. So maybe it isn't totally Moore that is looking great, but he is certainly playing really well over the past few games this season. smiling smiley

I'm thouroughly enjoying this destruction of the Raiders.

Can anybody honestly say they could see Matt Moore as the face of a franchise??

Come on...we keep that loser mentality, and we will stay in the bottom 10 in the NFL.

for once it would be nice to have a vet QB who *may* be the man, and a top hotshot rookie. worst case scenario we get a big time trade chip. all of the good teams have done this.
this could all be moot, however, since if we keep playing like this we will be picking about 13 or 14.

DOD computers SUCK. Access denied for satellite feeds, radio broadcasts, you name it. Had to look at the box score on NFL.com to keep track of the game. No tv here where I work at.

So when I left my office to walk over to the chow hall we were up 34 zip. So I get my chow, sit down to eat, and the ticker on the bottom of the tv during the Donks/Gnats game suddenly read 34-14. WTF happened?

I'm not saying Moore should be annointed as the face of the franchise but he's played well this year...better than anyone could have wished for IMHO...and he's outplaying many saviors on other teams.

His QB rating is 9th in the league among QB's that have thrown for at least 1769 yards.

How's Cam Newton doing in Charlotte? Panthers are just a looser franchise

They won yesterday. And if you dont think that team is gonna get better with a rookie QB like Cam Newton....something is wrong with you.

I could care less about the name or what a QB looks like. If the team is winning, that's all that matters. Everyone hates Tebow ,but he wins. Most hate Moore, but he gets it done. They are all professionals, top 1% of athletes in the world, it all about playing together under a system that works.

Working together and the system is the most important part. If that can't happen, they all look like crap.

You DO have a point, psalm. Trent Dilfer used to get knocked on for not be accurate. Most people rated him mediocre or worse...but he knew how to win. Jim Harbaugh is another example of a guy who could win even though he didn't have the strongest arm, etc.

Carolina is 4-8 with Newton at the helm. They beat the Bucs with their backup QB and horrible D

I agree, but there will never be another Dan Marino. The good news is we appear to be in good shape on at D, RB, and WR. Add an elite QB and we could be a top contender.

agree with above comment. moore is good enough to win when the team as a whole is playing well. but what about when the d plays aaron rodgers or drew brees. they are going to give up points and thats the way it is. we need a qb that can keep up when we play teams like that and im not sure moore can do that. moore has been supported with good oline play, great rb play and great field position due to turnovers, 3 and outs, and good returns. we are like a slightly lesser 49ers right now. they are a solid, talented team but no one in their right mind thinks they will win the super bowl. the saints or packers will beat them in the playoffs. bottom line, i like moore but to be a superbowl contender we need a qb that can carry the team when he needs to
