The NFL needs to have a draft lottery. The NBA already has one, and that seems to be working out just fine.

The Indianapolis Colts are making a total mockery of the NFL draft. I'm sorry but I don't think that they're being legit this season. I know that's a strong accusation, but I'm sticking with it.

If we had a lottery, knowing our luck....we would have the 12th pick.

No thanks to a lottery.

There don't have to be 12 picks in it though, it could be the bottom 6 teams, etc.

Anything to discourage this losing-on-purpose nonsense would be worth it IMO. And I rarely think of the NBA as a sports league whose examples I would follow.

Actually, I'd say bottom 3. That would be the most fair.

ChyrenB I have to seriously disagree with you. I don't think this coaching staff (Tony) tries to win, I think they try not to lose.

If there is a 10 poing lead in the first quarter they will shut down the offense and try to run out the clock and hold that lead for the rest of the game.

That is why they keep losing...

there is so little difference in the $$ now for the 1st and 2d overall pick it is totally stupid to go back to school to try to be the #1 overall. Barkley will end up losing 1 years multimillion salary he will never get back if he does that. if he does go back to school, I'd have real doubts about his desire. is he another prepetual college party boy like leinart? haven't heard that but who knows

Barkley is a known hardcore Christian and professes his faith openly. Im pretty sure he is not a "party boy".

Yeah, but when it's talking down Sparano and the coaching staff, it's what I've been saying all along.

As long as we get Luck, Barkley, Griffin, Jones, or Foles, I will be happy.

I think you pick up Tebow, like a closer in baseball. You put in your starter, then your reliever and then your closer(Tebow)... We have such a problem finishing games it might be just what we need, Tebow for the final 7 minutes of the game, to ensure we dnt lose it or come back against all odds....Sounds like a position worthy of a roster spot...loldrinking smiley .....Elway is just short changing himself...When you have the best closer in the game you dont get rid of him but you dont have to start him either...lol
