Marshall may have had the right intentions....but dont throw the first stone if your a sinner also....because I would definately have had many altercations with marshall after dropping all those passes....next drop and I would have buried him 6 feet deep!
So, who's the cancer now? Davis was late to practice, and Marshall had an issue with it. Marshall drops balls, but it sounds like he has the right attitude in practice.
I'm tired of this crap. Marshall played well today. He's one of the best players on the team. He's trying to be a leader. Davis has done NOTHING this year!! It's appropriate for a team leader to call out someone who's playing below his ability.

Marshall is a cancer and Davis is a drunk. Get them both off of my Miami Dolphins team. Damn, I can actually remember when this team's leadership had some onions and integrity.
The times you hear of a corner is when he 1) makes a fantastic play, like interceptions, or 2) gets burned.
When you don't hear of one, like you don't hear of Vontae Davis, maybe 1) he is not making interceptions but that could also be because 2) he is not getting thrown against because he is such a great corner.
I never hear of Vontae when he is on the field and with a corner, I consider that a sign that he is doing a damn good job.
But I hear a lot of mentions of our other secondary players throughout the games and it definitely AIN'T because they are making great plays.
Conclusion. Vontae is doing Okay.
Now Marshall, on the other hand, had to be praised yesterday for not dropping an ordinary "in your hands" touchdown thrown to him in the endzone.
Any time a player shows up late for practice and smelling like alcohol he needs to be shown the door with an AA meeting invitaion tucked into his pants pockets.
Professional athlete? Doing an OK job? As long as you pay a chaperone to accompany him every where he goes, I guess.
Mark my words...Vontae will be off this team shortly after the new head coach arrives. It is a signal that needs to be sent to this bunch of spoiled brats we call the Miami Dolphin players.

From this position, i am assuming you have never shown up late to work because you were out to late or over served....
I like Davis he is one of my fav players on this team, but I also think he needed to be held accountable for his actions... I also think Marshall probably took it to far. But Davis should have kept his mouth shut and dealt with the lip from the older player... Who hasnt been nursing a injury most of the season hiding from contributing...
I also commend Marshall for what he said about Davis after the game, that he knows Davis is one of the best players on the team, and the phins need him on the team...
Players today can't hold their liquor. Read up on the 1970's Raiders teams. Those guys would drink a TON and wouldn't miss a beat. Riggins played games drunk.
Vontae probably had a one too many cosmopolitans (2) and had to sleep in to nurse his hangover. Pussy
You can assume no longer. I have never shown up late for work due to the night before. And I down the rocket fuel my self.
Please let me make my position clear on this.
If you show up for work smelling like alcohol and show signs of a hang over, in my humble opinion, you should be shown the door with an AA meeting invitation tucked in you pants pocket.
Maybe that is why our defense sucks so bad.
We have no pride nor do we have integrity. IF you go out on a night before work, you better be a big boy and be able to hold your self up the next day or be a big enough man to just say F--- no to a drinking night on the town.
Do you think for one milli second Dan the Man would make that type of decision or put up with that type of crap?
Man oh man have we sunk to the bottom and deserve it - just in my humble opinion.
Best damn CB tandom in the league gosh darn it!!!!

I can't understand why these guys feel the need to stay out late and drink multiple Adult Beverages
A) during the season
on a night before a practice
There are only 16 games in the season fellas.
If you MUST go out and party during the 17-week season, do it the night before your day off, ding-a-lings!

I agree with what you said 100 percent, but I am guessing you arent 23-24, and I am also guessing that when you were 23-24 you didnt have a contract paying you millions, and grew up with nothing, working hard despite the setbacks, and I am guessing that if you were 24 years old, with a ten million dollar or so contract, and you were nursing an injury, your team hadnt won a game all season, people acting like they dont give a sh*t, etc... You might make a couple decisions that get the best of you, whether women or boos or lack of commitment...
I sure made my share of slip ups and stupid decisions when I was his age, I could only imagine if they were magnified in the spotlight of the press and I had more money then I knew what to do with, and was single living south beach playing for the Dolphins. probably trouble a few times... You got to cut these guys a little slack, young players, a mjority of them make a few stupid decisions and vets are suppose to slap them back in shape... Marshall not having the best reputation but seeing no one else stepping up took the slapping part a little to literal, i guess.... The real test IMO, will be to see how Vontae steps up this week... It is not how u get knocked down, it is how u get back up that makes a man IMO..
Marshall did the right thing. About time someone stood up and tried to lead this pack. He drops passes, db's get burned, OLinemen give up sacks that's part of the game. As a player you should always be ready to step that's for practice and games.
