So why would they play him if he isnt 100 percent healthy?
I will answer it for you......To save face and save their jobs next year as coaches which aint going to happen anyways.
If they were ensured their jobs as coaches next year i can guarantee you they would put him on ir the rest of the season and jake long as well. Because every single one of them knows the season is over.

Could be, or it could be as simple as the trainer and strength coach mis-evaluated his condition, as they have been doing all year in general. The team is very out of shape. I heard Hank Goldberg say a week or two ago that we have a new strength coach this year. Well, he sucks.
I know the offseason basically didn't exist but 31 other teams are in better physical shape than we are and they had the same lockout issues.

And you are giving out Ds......You too kool man...
I think Daboll is alright, he is working with this abysmal offensive line, which personnel wise is horrible. When we have all our guys esp MR. D.Thomas to run the inside ground game, It's not too bad. QB play has improved significantly over last season.
The secondary coaches I'm giving a mini pass too as well since our D-Line is easily the worst in the NFL.
However, there is little question that probably all of these guys are gone next season.
when parcells came in one of the things he talked smack about was all the injuries in 2007, implying the practicing/workout program/training staff wasn't up to par. Well looks at what's happening now.
to the original question, yes, players have had injured hammys, sat out, came back, then sat out again. that is exactly what's going on with vontae davis right now
There wasn't sufficient flexibility training this preseason. There are way too many Dolphins with hamstring and groin type injuries. Other teams are seeing similar injuries too.
You would have thought, at least I would have thought, that players knowing the preseason was short would do their own conditioning. If you are going to run a marathon race, don't think for one minute it can be done without training and building up to it over time. The NFL season is like a marathon except tougher as runners don't get tackled and thrown to the ground.
Many years ago I suffered a terrible hamstring injury. It hurt to walk. Bending down was nearly impossible, and it took many months of stretching and walking, then jogging, then running to get it healthy. These guys can't recover in a few weeks. Granted I didn't enjoy the same pampering these athletes get today, but a youthful body still takes lots of time to get well.

Tony's son is responsible for Offensive Quality Control?
I just lost the last remaining piece of respect I had for the meat ball.
As a Quality Engineer for the last 20 + years I think this team needs a 100% complete over haul.
I would be happy if the only person remaining on the 2012 Dolphins from the 2011 Dolphins was Long.
And 100% means 100%. All front office personnel, owners, coaches, administrative, players, trainers, equipment managers, even the gosh darn doorman needs to go - exactly at 12 noon on Jan 2, 2012.
