Come on guys, you know you have to put your house up for sale if you are less than a year out from moving.

This is no surprise. He knows he is gone. Just like I know I am moving soon too, I have to start preparing my house to sell as well (I am in the military and Im about to get orders).

I want him out right after the season and I see what he has done to our team and I am not happy with it. I do blame him.

But, I do still think the man did his best and was just in over his head. I am a quality engineer so I place most of the blame on the root cause: Ross.

isn't parcells the root cause? he's the one who hired an OL coach to be our HC.

Originally Yes. But he had the chance to hire a New coach and f**ked it all up and they kissed Saprano's ass and gave him an extention. He should have been fired last year and moved on. I hope he fires him before going shopping this time.

Ross = Huizenga (gave lame coach extension.)
Parcells = JJ (came in as a savior and left us with a crappy HC when he left)
Sparano = Wanny (crappy HC. No discipline on team. Can't manage the clock. Can't win in the clutch. Team has gotten worse every year)
Ireland = Spielman (Stupid FA moves. Bad drafts)

It's like deja vu!!!

I don't agree with the JJ- Parcells comparision at all.

JJ was/IS a genuis. He created a dynasty with Dallas and was on his way in Miami when 2 things sidetracked him. Dan Marino's Popularity here and both his parents dying in a relativy short period changing his life outlook and how much time he was missing with his family.

He gave us a decent backup in Damon huard and his defense was the best Miami ever had. We still have his 3rd rd 97' pick, JT with us Today. Say what you want , its just not a fair comparision. And Hiezinga did not have to hire Dave Wannastadt. And he certianly didn't have to ink him to an extention well after JJ left.

JJ "IS" a genius? HOW exactly? He hit the jackpot in Dallas by trading Walker, and he used his knowledge coming from college to pick Irving and Emmitt. Nothing special there. Then that "genius" left us with Dave Wannstead!!! Meanwhile, Parcells took the Giants to 2 Superbowl victories as a coach. Then he took NE from nothing to the Superbowl. It's not that different.

Oh, and that "genius" blew 2 national championships for UM before finally winning ONE. He could easily have had 3. But, then, that was a pro-team playing college anyway. It's no wonder he was such a good college coach. His players were paid like pros.

Huard was a decent backup? What evidence do you have of that??? Sure, JJ had some great picks, but he had some TERRIBLE ones too. Under JJ we wasted every 1st-round pick we had!! At least we still have the ones Parcells picked.

Ross didn't HAVE to keep Sparano or sign him to an extension either? Are you suggestion someone was twisting his arm on that one?

What you're missing from what I posted is I wasn't comparing this year to JJ's years as coach. I was comparing this year to the Wanny last years. JJ wasn't here in Wanny's last year, and Parcells isn't here now. But JJ's legacy remained in the inept offense we had under Wanny...not to mention there was no way we would have hired Wanny as HC if not for JJ. JJ saddled us with a coach that set the chain of events going which lead us to today. This franchise has never recovered from the Wanny years....and Sparano's coaching style and results are starting to look eerily similar to Wanny's.

Well.....I'm missing that because thats not what you said. Not even close. JJ made a bad Job recomendation. It was Huizengias choice to take it or leave it. How many recomendations do head coaches and GM's get on draft picks? Do you blame the head coach or the Talent scout?

JJ was still in the Zone until he left for what I thought were acceptable reasons. He left us with a high quality team .

Parcells clearly does not have it anymore and left the Dolphins for no good reason and did not put anything in place for us to succeed.

I get it Treasure. You have a love-affair with JJ. The way I see it, he kicked off the demise of this organization. To me, the only Phin coach that's been worth anything has been Shula.

<RANT>

This is good news. Sorry, I can't stand to see my team suck. For a first round draft pick or any other reason. This loser needs to go and SHOULD have already been gone.

BUT, lets lay blame where blame is due BILL F'IN PARCELLS. Many thought he was the savior. I for one had my doubt's. If you looked at his carer, his success had been kind of inversely proportional to the amount of 'TOTAL CONTROL' he had. Starting with NY where he was basically just the coach to US where he was in charge of everything. He set out to reincarnate the 1990 Giants. A power running team with a caretaker QB and a stifling defense, whether he had or could acquire the players or not, that was his plan and he was sticking to it. Well, the results are plain to see. Every scrap of this clowns regime needs to be purged from this organization, starting with Sparano. If i had the money I'd buy his damn house myself. Just to hurry him out!

And PLEASE!!! no more 'system' coaches. JJ-Wanny, Parcells-regime. They sucked because they constantly tried to pound square pegs into round holes (Dan Marino as a hand-off machine!!!! Please!). We need someone who can adapt the team and the game plans to the talent around them and the situation they are in. We haven't had a coach who can build a team with the players he has and make game time adjustments in a LOOOOOOONG time.

</Rant>

Cam Cameron used to say "fail, forward, fast". Well, we've sure failed forward pretty fast THIS year!! Cam would be proud!

Don't get me wrong , I love the Don.......but he didn't bring home the bacon after 73' either did he? We had a horrible defense throughout the 80's and 90's and no running game. If you think about it , he made a great lucky choice in Marino in 83' otherwise who knows where he would have been.

I guess 2 more Superbowl appearances after 1973 don't count, then. I guess having the least penalized team in the league year-after-year doesn't count. I guess the intentional safety and fake spike plays don't count. I guess being a perennial playoff team doesn't count. I guess having the best winning percentage of any team in pro sports doesn't count.

Nope, you're right. Shula wasn't much...but JJ was God!

I don't care who they bring in to coach this team, we need a quarterback. Call me crazy, but I still maintain that Nick Saban would still be the coach here (and be successful) if he had signed Drew Brees.

Disagree. Root cause: Parcells. He insisted on "shopping for the groceries", and bought junk. Huizenga and Ross just provided the money; Parcells misspent it.

Good point. JJ had a great stew going, He just left before adding the meat and Potatoes. We are still eating some of that stew 11 yrs later.

Parcells However Took the Grocery money and ran off .Left us starving.

JJ to Parcells is a No comparision.
