I don't care what he thinks, to be honest.

Win some games, hotshot, and that will shut people up fast.

Where are the players saying they deserve ridicule from the fans because they've been playing terrible? Where are the players that actually CARE about winning? Why are player attacking fans rather than challenging each other? Something is VERY wrong with this team.

Reggie Bush pretty much came out and said that the Dolphins 'stink' and that he can't blame the fans, or something to that effect.

Hey listen, I understand how the players feel. But don't insult the fans -- who have been here before you were BORN and will be here after you are gone -- for wanting to have success in the long term when the short term is already a guaranteed failure.

It doesn't matter. Most of these losers won't be here in a couple years anyway, and NOBODY will remember Fasano when he's gone and Andrew Luck is throwing TD passes.

Exactly. Only Fasano et al have the power to change things. All they need to do is win some games and we aren't having this conversation, and Florio isn't writing that article.

incidentally, this quote is VERY well written from that article:

"But the current players shouldn’t insult fans who are desperate for hope that the current players simply can’t provide."

How did the Miami Dolphins' fans become so angry, so incredibly angry with the players? Do fans really think that on game day each purposefully puts their worst foot forward in an effort to play miserably that day? Football is a rough tough sport where macho plays a factor. Most of these guys want to excel in what they do. All of them what to be top flight and to reach that level they have to dedicate themselves to winning.

Teams that are the most successful don't necessarily have the best talent at every given position. What they do have is good talent that excels as a unit. They have fewer weaknesses than their counterparts. As a result they make fewer mental mistakes and physical ones.

The breakdown is with the "orchestra leader." The right combination of players have to be assembled to play the right offensive play or defensive play. Eleven men put on the field to stop a pass when the most likely play will be a QB sneak is a good example (Tebow's rushing TD). Those eleven men on the field didn't "suck" they followed instruction from the coach. This type of situation happens way too often with the Dolphins and is attributable to bad play calling from the sidelines. None of those coaches are missing tackles, and being trash talked by opposing players. None of our players, I surmise, enjoy being made fools of. Each works hard, some harder than others, as is always the case with life, but all want to do well.

When the team is constantly put into awkward situations as we've seen repeatedly happen, the players often don't see the big picture like the fans do.

Fasano and other players see it from their perspective. They work at trying to succeed. Yet there is something that is getting in the way of that success. I attribute most of the shortcomings to failed training, and terrible coaching during practice and on game day.

Do some of you remember how stumped Nick Saban seemed to be about when or if he should throw the red flag. He lacked timing and decision making. He looked the fool. I never felt that he was in charge. His poor behavior in front of the news media, challenging their questions, showed a lack of savvy to deal with such things. He never took charge. Same was true with Cam Cameron. He was too soft, too easy going.

Mental toughness is important in leading men to victory. When they sense it--miraculous things can happen.

Tony Sparano is indecisive. He appears to not be in control, he talks tough, but so did Barney Fife. Whatever he says, the things he does, are not building the confidence, the mental toughness these players and junior coaches need to reach the "excel" level of play.

We as fans not only see a lack of execution, poor or odd play calling, and repeated mistakes that we as a group have become fed up with the incompetence. Fasano and others can't imagine that they have become part of that incompetence.

For fans to coin "Suck for Luck" and hope for a franchise quarterback and a great coach is normal because of all of the terrible losses and ineptitude over the years.

If this entire team was disbanded and the players scattered throughout teams in the NFL some would start and others would be supplemental players, a few would just go away. Most would personally perform better than they are right now because the leadership is better elsewhere.

It is instrumental, no critical, for us to find a top flight, proven coach who can assemble a staff of assistant coaches that will properly train the players to work as a team. Similarly, it is critical to have a top flight QB on the field to instill confidence in the players and the coaching staff.

Anthony Fasano--It's the long time failures, the total ineptitude, that have gotten the fans so riled up.

Nice write up Colonel. I vote for cutting any player or coach that is not on board with the suck for luck campaign , because that person has obviously revealed himself to be too stupid to be part of a winning team. I guess we are keeping Reggie Bush. Good bye Dansby, Sporano, Fasano...
