gentelmen, we have officially hit rock bottom

The Dolphins have signed quarterback JP Losman and placed QB Sage Rosenfels on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness List

Sage probably got sick watching this team since he signed

If they're willing to sign useless players, why not reward the fans instead? Have a lottery. Whoever wins gets to sign a contract as a backup QB!!! It wouldn't be any worse than what we've done so far.

My God, just when I thought it couldn't get much more ridiculous.

Losman's signing must be to fill the roster. I seriously doubt if he will ever see a down.

Matt Moore has bruised ribs and is getting hammered every time he drops back to pass behind Columbo. Losman will see the field, bank on it.

This is great.

We had to make a move to sink back to Indy's level. We were just too good with Moore at QB. Don't want to accidentally win a game.

But, isn't Losman accustomed to running for his life? Isn't that what he did in Buffalo for the time he was there?

I hope Sage is okay and all, but I'm glad this happened. Sage is the guy who can go out there and throw 4 TD passes one week and then cough it up 4 times the next.

We might have won a game with him.

Blurb linked from Curt's newswire said it went away, but his body is still too weak to come back to playing yet (practicing in the heat made him exhausted).

No, we hit rock bottom a couple weeks ago. Now we're jack-hammering past it.

JP Losman isn't a good QB but he's not even close to the 16th worst QB of all time. Not even top 50 worst, IMO.

Dilfer is #50? There are QBs starting int he league today that WISH they were as good as him. He was really the ultimate caretaker QB. Probably best EVER! He didn't make stupid mistakes, and he could motivate the team. Sure, he wasn't very accurate, but he knew that and played within himself.

I'd take Dilfer over almost any of the QBs we've had in the last 10 years.

exactly! We probably signed him to keep the Colts from siging him.

They put Collins on Injured reserve and needed to sign a QB that wouldn't win games.

We put Sage on IR and snapped up Losman.

Now they have to sign somneone like Trent Edwards or Jake Delhomme who could actually win a couple.

Like you said....Checkmate!

JP Losman is definitely better than Trent Edwards and at this point, also Jake Delhomme.

I'm dead serious. Trent Edwards is AWFUL.

A nobody for a nobody. Big deal. As Billy Preston once said, "nothin from nothin leaves nothin," which pretty much describes our QB situation.
