Daniel Thomas looked great with Henne. Not so much with Moore

BTW Daniel Thomas is doing the best he can with what we have.....I think he is going to be a very good back.....Just hope he doesnt injure himself in this useless season.....................
I hope they use him sparingly..............Probably not anyways....What does sparano care. He is not even going to be here next year.
On the very first drive in our very first game, Henne had passes of 25 (Marshall) and 22 (Fasano). He had pass to Bess for 26 in the 2nd quarter. 3rd quarter, 22 and 25 to Marshall, 28 to Fasano, and 23 to Bess. 4th quarter, 21 to Fasano, 31 to Marshall, 23 and 26 to Bess. This doesn't count the 2 deep passes he missed to Gates and Hartline.
A lot of those yards were runs after the catch, but you have to credit Henne for getting the ball in the right place so the receiver could run.
Regardless of deep passes or runs after catch, either of those help the running game...and Moore hasn't been very good at either.
It has nothing to do with who the QB is.
What? Henne could throw maybe 5 yards further? Seriously?
Try play calling, or execution as the problem. Not who's at QB.
If anything, defenses are stacking the box with the intension of making us throw to an underwhelming core of receivers.
I actually thought Moore looked better than what I've seen of Henne lately.
Dont get me wrong, I don't think either are the answer or are even close. I just don't think the running game is any worse with either QB in there.
Henne threw for almost 500 yards against NE. Moore has barely done half that. Why do you think they're stacking the box against us now? It's because they have no respect for Moore. With Henne they were blitzing the heck out of him, because they knew if he had time he'd make completions. With Moore they're stacking the box and DARING him to throw.
Yes, defensive gameplans HAVE changed, and the reason is EXACTLY the QB.

And they still stacked the LOS because they werent afraid of hennes deep touch...
Henne is a second stringer at best. He never developed a deep throw he never got in sync with the receivers....He was a mess..
Yes he did pretty good at times....Very little flashes....But at crunch time he peed in his pants...
I was sick of him throwing the INT at crunch time...with a couple minutes left.

The people who hated Henne so much that they chanted for us to get Orton during training camp--those people expected Moore (or anyone else) to do better than Henne.
Henne played better than last year, but not nearly well enough to be a winning QB (notwithstanding dolfanmark's obfuscating statistics---I will focus on the crunch-time pants pissing). I think Moore at his best can be about as good as henne this year; he's not playing his best and that's not good enough anyway. No suprises here.
I don't deny Henne's ineptness in crunch time, but I'm looking at shades of grey, rather than black and white. Sure Henne's not a franchise 1st string QB, but he's better than Moore. Moore is, at best, a 3rd-stringer. I wouldn't mind Henne as our backup next year...but I doubt it will happen. He'll find another team and win games for them from time-to-time.
