Mr. Cote, like most, is forgettign the hard working fan. Yeah these players are feeling pain. They are paid millions of dollars to play a game that is basically outside of real life and survival.
The typical fan pays these high prices for a now rediculous product, while the players make millions and the owners sit in their luxery boxes smoking champaign and drinking cigars.
Yes they deserve the place they have achieved in life, but don't hand me this BS about how the players / coaches are suffering.
When the regular Joe is laid off they do not have the luxery that these guys are getting, which they deserve, just don't play the pitty card with me. The players and coaches know the rules of the business when they get there. Go cry somewhere else.

Well, then. He may actually play his entire career in college.
Luck shouldn't have his eye on the Heisman, btw. Historically, that hasn't been the best litmus test for QBs going into the NFL. There have been a TON of bust QBs who won the Heisman and only a handful of good ones. The Heisman is a RB or defensive award. It doesn't make sense for QBs.
if he stays in school 2 straight years and walks away from being the #1 overall both times, I think teams could legitimately question his heart/desire to make it in the NFL. sticking around in triple A ball when you could be in the majors would be a big time red flag. Just look at matt Leinart, stuck around to party and collect hardware as a senior, flopped as a pro b/c of desire/toughness issues.
All that said, he's not staying in school another year. BUT this could be step 1 of trying to create leverage to go to the team he wants (I doubt MIa would be the top of the list). If we can't draft Luck #1, I am happy still having the #1 and getting the treasure trove of draft picks in trade---but only if he pulls and Eli manning/John Elway on us, otherwise we take him.

Now where have I read this before? Oh yeah, it was you, in another thread.

He's playing his senior year right now. He was a redshirt freshman, I believe. He'd have to go back and play as a grad student.
