moronic coaching decisions

I'd like to have a thread collecting all the moronic coaching decisions from this year. I will start with 2 from last night, please add

(1) throwing long on 3d and inches from the 40, then punting on 4th
(2) running out the clock near midfield with 1.45 left in the half (even gruden who never criticizes anything ripped that one)

ok, one more

(3) the other week, lining up to draw the other team offsides late in the game deep in our terriory, then punting the ball away when it didn't work instead of taking the delay penalty (never should've lined up in the first place---just go for it or kick!!)

there's got to be many more.....

Sparano admitted during his press conference that the team was preparing for the Broncos(!!!) during the bye week.

We can add that one, right?

Letting KRs come out from 9 yds deep in the end zone.
By now he should know by now that ANYTHING kicked in the endzone should be downed to ensure at least the 20 yd line and no fumble.
More times than not, our KRs never reach the 20 coming out of the endzone period!!
Short kicks and equally horrendous coverage teams.

This isn't on the coaches at all. This is 100% on Matt Moore. Moore is the one that decided to throw a deep out to Clyde Gates, covered by Darrell Revis. Underneath, Lex Hilliard was wide open in the flat, no defender within 15 yards of him. Moore didn't make the right read. This should have been an easy first down pick up. It doesn't get any easier than checking down to wide open FB in the flat. Moore is the one who decided to try to squeeze it in to a rookie WR, who played Division II, covered by the best corner in the league.

no mark, my point wasn't the play run on 3d down, it is the decision not to go for it on the next play but to punt.

Started early on at the draft. Ended sometime last night when they blew a 45 deconds before the half and let the clock go.

Sorry, my bad. I agree 100%. A play action pass in that situation is a perfectly acceptable playcall, as long as you are going to go for it on 4th down.

How about when a player refuses the coaches direction by refusing to leave the filed DURING A GAME when he is told.

Tony is a nice guy and all that but...FIRE THE COACH...FIRE THE PLAYER...FIRE the GM..FIRE THEM ALL because they do not deserve to be a Miami Dolphin. PERIOD.

Start building a real football program.

GO Miami!!!

SUCK FOR LUCK!!!

The two point was so utterly moronic, I have to think they are trying to lose on purpose. Ross probably gave the coaching staff their orders to stand down.

every single game playing not to lose instead of going out there trying to win.

I knew late in the game they would lose once they started their 4th quarter, "we got the lead, lets not do anything to lose." run run run punt

That two point conversion attempt is being thrashed on national television today. Mike & Mike are killing Sparano for it.

Yep that two point conversion was one but I would say the other two point conversion was another.....all game we go eight men in the box and I freaking knew Tebow was going to try to run it in....we ran a spread formation with NO LBs behind the line....easy Tebow scramble for two.

Stupid decision early in the game....throwing the ball to Marshall on 3rd and short knowing that moron drops half his passes...and he did kill the drive and any momentum!!!
