just read on twitter that henne is opting for surgery and will miss season.
we've probably seen the last of him in a dolphins uniform. I doubt the new regiem (there will be one) will resign him
I think Henne has a future in the NFL. Gonna be interesting to see what happens to him. Dan Henning pretty much guaranteed that he had no future with Miami.
Sage Rosenfels? At least were trying something NEW, that we have never failed with before!
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

I can't figure out if you're being sarcastic or not. At least Sage isn't an ex Cowboy.
After everything we’ve invested in this kid I hope we can resign and trade as opposed to just loosing him outright. That would suck.
Henne showed some progress after regressing all of last year. But I doubt the kid will ever be a major league QB. He’s a mechanic at best and a football flunkezoid at worst.
Weird, but I would prefer we resign and keep him in the mix – he’s decent enough for spot back-up duty, and might continue to progress under a new regime. Or not.
Henne should be retained, period. He demonstrated the ability to improve, be more of a leader, and significantly improve his game. If we end up with a new front office Henne should have a place on this team...IF we are in a position to draft Luck, and IF we take him the competition should be between him, Luck, Moore and Delvin...on an even playing field.
Rosenfels is a warm body to back up Moore, nothing more.
I agree that it would be nice to try to retain Henne, but I don't think he's going to want to stick around as a backup. I do think he will be a quality starter elsewhere, but with how bad this season is going, Miami is going to have the chance to get a guy with major star potential.

I would even start him next year and not throw andrew luck into the fire just yet. Let him learn first then put him in by mid season or end of year..

Sure! Let Luck come in a soon as Henne starts to stink or freak out. Dan didn't play the first game of his rookie year, but he was the starter when the year ended!

Unfortunately, the situation is very different. Dan joined a playoff team that had made it to the Superbowl just a couple years before. So, we had the luxury of not starting him. On the other hand, next season Luck will probably be head-and-shoulders better than any other QB we'll have, and we'll be a crappy team with nothing to lose. So, I predict if we get Luck that he starts on day 1.
I pray to the football godz that if we are lucky enough to get Luck, he does start the first day and it is the first start of the new NFL iron man record of 300+ straight games played.
any team that drafts luck is starting him day 1. including and especially us. did I just read that we should start henne next year and let luck sit and "learn"? please!!
Really?! I replayed that broken play in which Henne got hurt, and can't for the life of me see much in the way of impact on his left elbow/shoulder.
Jeez! Chad Pennington thinks this guy is fragile!!
