Everyone keeps placing all of the blame on Sparano, but Ireland is responsible for signing the "talent" (or lack thereof). They both need to be fired.

I believe there is talent, however our coaches lack the ability to take advantage of match-ups...i.e.: Running Bush up the middle.

Where to begin? The offensive line. On offense, everything starts with the offensive line. People will say, no, it's the QB. Yes, a QB is extremely important. But, if your QB is under constant pressure, it doesn't matter who your QB is. The Fins offensive line this year is the worst pass blocking line I have seen in 35 years of being a Dolphins fan. Sure, Lex Hilliard got Chad Henne hurt. But, the offensive line was going to get Henne hurt eventually. On Henne's INT, he was hit by two defenders. One went right by Jake Long, and another came untouched up the middle. Columbo has been getting beaten on almost every snap. He is so bad that they are using Nate Garner as a 2nd TE on his side. Both Carey and Incognito are locks to whiff on pass rushers two or three times per game. And you cannot have guards whiffing. Seriously, it's one thing for a tackle to miss, because the QB still has a little time, and can usually step up. When a guard misses, you're toast. In every game, we also have multiple plays where free rushers are allowed up the middle. You cannot have this happening. And on several plays yesterday, you saw Carey or Incognito double-teaming a defender, while a free defender ran right by them for a free shot at the QB.

The offensive line is also directly responsible for much of the red zone woes. The Fins have been forced to keep Fasano and whoever is at RB in to block. In the red zone, you need to be able to use all of your weapons. It's too easy for the defense to defend 2 or 3 receivers down there.

Don't look at sack totals, although those are bad. When you watch other teams, good teams, look at how often the QB has a clean pocket. Specifically, look at how much space the QB has around him, especially in front of him. Watch our pass rush. Notice how often they are totally stymied at the line, with no push or penetration at all. Then look at our team. Our QBs have bodies flying around them on every play. And they have way too many bodies getting pressure up the middle. These things block passing lanes, and force balls to be thrown early.

This regime drafted Jake Long #1 overall. They signed Justin Smiley to a $25M contract. They signed Jake Grove to a $25M contract. They signed Vernon Carey to a huge extension. They spent a 3rd rd pick on John Jerry. They spent a #1 pick on Mike Pouncey. And yet, here we are, with the worst pass blocking team in the NFL. And the sad part is that with all of those resources spent on the OL, we are looking at rebuilding it again next year. Incognito is a below average LG. He could be adequate at RG, but he is nothing special. Carey will be cut because of his salary. And Colombo will be cut because he is awful. So, 2012 will need at least two new linemen, maybe 3.

It all starts here. It doesn't matter who the QB is if he is always getting hurried, hit, and sacked, and always running for his life. And I have to say, if Nate Garner is worse than Marc Colombo, why is he on an NFL roster? Let him play. Can he really be any worse?

How can you say that the talent is there? We have a backup QB nobody wanted, our starting RB no one wanted (we were the only one's bidding for Reggie), TE? besides Fasano name another TE on the team, there's no depth behind any of the skill positions.... This team was put together to fail!!! I've been a fan for the past 30+ years and I have never seen anything so pathetic in my life.... Maybe Ross needs a write off against his real estate holdings? He talks about filling the stadium but he's not going to do it with his celebrity co-owners or the gimmicky half time shows..... Put a winning team on the field and the stadium will be filled, and everything else will be icing on the cake....

One thing tells you it's coaching. ALL THE DAMN MISSED TACKLES!!!

Missing all those tackles, week in and week out in THE FLIPPIN' NFL is NOT lack of talent. This isn't High School football these guys have been playing since they were 5 and have been considered the best of the best. That's why they are starting in the NFL.

THEY KNOW HOW TO TACKLE. It's just lack of desire and to a lesser degree preparation...and THATS on the coaching staff.

Mark, are you still trying to cover up the terrible play of Chad Henne???

Come on, Mark. Henne wasnt hit until *AFTER* he threw that pass.

Would you please stop all this nonsense, Mark?? Come on, man.

I agree; however, the new rules means that they can only have 13 contact practices per season. That's not even 1 per week.

Nolan has good schemes, the players are messing up. Jones is blowing coverages, Burnett is sucking, Dansby hurt, JT old.

Daboll has done a good job drawing up more effective x's and o's, but Marshall is dropping balls, OL leaking sacks, Henne being great between the 20's and weak in the red zone.

IMO, Sparano is too loyal to veterans and lacks the hardness to bench guys who aren't performing.

Daboll needs to stop trying to run Bush inside. Thomas is our best inside runner, HIlliard next.

Nolan needs to find another free safety. I've seen 5 or 6 high school students in our league that would be an upgrade and would play cheap.

Ireland either needs to be fired because he can't evaluate talent, or he is letting Sparano drown and hopes to be part of the rebuild.
