Henne threw for over 400 Yds. We can not ever ask for more then that. He also Rushed for quite a few. He did his Job and thensome. But this offense has some big Problems when we are passing on the 1 Yd line. More then once they showed they have no confidence in Reggie Bush the RB as opposed to Reggie Bush the reciever.

Ricky Williams could always Punch it in and is also an apt reciever. Critical errors like this are gonna haunt Saprano & company as they wear down further through this season.

Props to Chad Henne. 400+ Yds, Several rushing as well. Can't ask for more. Seems like we fix one area and we pop a leak in another. We can't win.

Exactly. Well said. Offense seemed good, defense sucked. But honestly, Brady knew how to beat us, he tired our D which was out of shape out quickly.

Ricky is not the player he used to be. He's not the power runner that could punch it in for short yardage anymore. Ronnie took over that role...when he was healthy.

How many of you guys were shocked to see Soliai at FB?! I think Hilliard played pretty well at FB, but as a short-yardage back I'm not sure. I was hoping they'd give the ball to Soliai and see what he could do. Unfortunately, while you would have expected Soliai to just pound up the middle he simply ran to the O-Line, stopped, and pushed with his hands. I have a feeling they put that play in last-minute without much practice.

problem is we make decisions without thinking them thru. dump ricky and ronnie and replace them with reggie bush (not the same kind of back) and a fumble prone rookie? whoops, better sign larry johnson 3 weeks into the preseason. on second thought, let's cut him, no wait, let's resign him again and then not play him at all. same kind of approach has affected the offensive line. I have very little confidence in the FO thinking things through and arriving at the correct decision.

I hated we were on the 1 yard line on 3rd down and decided to throw instead of run. that shows a lack of confidence in the OL. Big time.

Daniel thomas needs to get back on the field and they didnt give many carries to lex hilliard....where in the world was larry johnson....

Why not give the ball to the bruising runners....Bush is not a power back.

Brady was too good he would have overcame that touchdown had we made it. For him like the paper said was shooting dolphins in a barrel. They are just to good for us still. Until Brady retires we will be second fiddle. I have realized this unfortunatly.

I agree. This type of kneejerk roster management has really hurt this team’s development. They’ve invested 3+ years in Project BIG and now it seems they would have been better served with Project FAST.

We’re in a bit of an identity crisis and probably should decide exactly what type of team we’re building…

why can't we ever be good at more than 1 thing at once? for years under marino we were great passing team, couldn't run or play defense. then we couldn't throw at all but could run and play D. then we could run but not throw and our D was suspect. then our D was good but our passing was horrible and our running was average. Now it looks like we may be able to throw the rock but cannot run to save our lives and the D is a question mark. I mean come on!!

Well, league rules are pushing teams to de-emphasize the run and re-emphasize the pass. Goodell wants high-scoring games, and he's getting them. Offenses like the Pats, Green Bay, and New Orleans (and, hopefully, ours) will become the norm in the NFL going forward. So, I don't expect much from the running game this year...but we DO need to get Bush the ball at least as a receiver out of the backfield.

As for the D, I'm as stumped as anyone as to why we looked so horrible. Is that that Brian Cox can't coach (the LBs looked particularly bad)? Was Rashad Jones really playing that bad (don't remember seeing him on any pass plays)? Is there THAT much of a dropoff from Vontae to Carroll (when Vontae went down with cramps)?

And what about our vaunted D-Line? Is our game built around depth (always having fresh guys in) rather than just having great individual D-linemen? If that's true, then NE basically neutralized our D-Line game by playing hurry-up (so we couldn't make substitutions).

I think we were out-coached, plain and simple.

Couldn't have said it better. I really think Ireland and Saprano were letting their ego get to them when they dumped the Tandem. Things were said at the end of the season and Tony Took it to heart. That led to them not even considering keeping Ricky.

Another good post. (your on a roll!)

It feels like that guy trying to stop a leak in the Dyke. The Dolphins have both thumbs and a left big Toe in the Holes. We don't have much left if and when another leak pops up.

When we have a good D our offense is not very good. And
When we have a good offense our d is not very good.
