That was good, but there was no doubt about it that Henne was terrible inside the red zone. His fade throws were three to four yards out of the end zone. Plus he was way off page with the receivers.
I guess they didn't plan on being in the red zone.
But you are correct about the defense. They didn't even show up.

I'm not sure that's on Henne. It looked like Marshall was off. Him and Henne weren't in sync...but that's fixable. That last fade to Hartline was a bad play call, and Henne was under pressure...so I don't blame him for that bad throw.
Henne even led the team in rushing with 59 yards on 7 runs including a TD. His interception was the last 'who cares' play. I have been a pretty strong (relatively speaking) Henne apologist, and I'm not going to count that one against him. His yards/completion were fantastic...even a bit better than Brady's if he had not hit the 99-yarder.
That said, Henne and Marshall (or whoever) need to figure out the passing game in the goal-to-go area. He doesn't throw a good fade, he and Marshall weren't on the same page on a couple of throws and he overthrew Marshall on what would have been a bit longer touchdown.
I'm not bashing him, just pointing out the most obvious way he can continue to improve. On the whole, though, I was VERY impressed with Henne.
