We would be a way better team today ..........

If we skipped on Daniel Thomas and drafted Ryan Mallet .

We should have kept Ricky Williams , and Mallet would be a Killer 3 stringer and either a great arm for the future , or an easy extra 1st round pick. Our Oline is playing like shit. I'm not confident about this bunch at all.

Daniel Thomas hasn't shown much yet, but what makes you think Ryan Mallett would have been a better pick? He hasn't shown much, either.

Because There was no really great FA QB's available and a Ton of RB's available. Ricky Williams was a work horse. Could have been had very cheaply.

That draft move to move UP to grab Thomas is showing very poor value. However a possible franchise QB would at the very least , someone to motivate Henne and future trade Fodder would have been the right move.

The very fact that you can't explain why, and the post just seems to irratate you proves my point even further.

I don't debate with trolls, I just point out how stupid they are.

Treasure, just out of curiosity, how could a guy being the number 3 emergency QB, make us a better team today, compared to a guy who is gonna get at least 10+ touches a game right now. Daniel Thomas is quick with catching the ball and moving directly upfield. He can also make guys miss. While he wasnt amazing at short yardage, I saw enough to understand why they drafted him. Lex Hilliard looked good in short yardage, I imagine he might fight for some reps on the goal line and short yardage, and even Clay possilby.

Coulda should woulda...what's the point? Might as well complain about not drafting Aaron Rodgers and choosing Ronnie Brown instead. Mistake of epic proportions!

Except we KNOW Arod is a good qb!

Oh I see what's going on here. It's a game to see who can have the most ridiculous hindsight!

I'll go next!

We would be a way better team today ..........

If we would have drafted all of the pro-bowlers that other teams have drafted. Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson, Ray Lewis, Troy Polamalu, etc etc etc...

Ok, who's next?! smileys with beer

My Main point is that had we not reached on Thomas we could have signed some veteran FA like Rickey Williams. We would have been much better off . Basically Reggie Bush gets hurt , we are done offensively.

Lots of Troll calling here, but none of you except Crowder is making any sense. I back my arguments with an explaination. Lets see you all do the same. If not.......then I've made my point.

Makes perfect sense ghoti, a 3rd string QB trumps a power back in 1st and goal situations 9 times out of 10.............puff puff give!

I think Ricky Williams would have. And the draft picks wasted better served on Mallet.

Ricky Williams has not been the same player since late 2009. He wore down really quickly after Ronnie got hurt. He is in no way "a workhorse." he can still be effective getting 10 carries a game, but his days of being a primary back are over, even on a temporary basis.

Bottom line is that we have Reggie Bush.

So the question is this being true, who else would you rather have on the team FOR INSURANCE Daniel Thomas or Ryan Mallett.

Are you more sure of the QB position or are you more sure of the RB position?

I think that hands down I have more questions concerning the QB position.

And in case you want to call me a Henne Hater, look at my posts all last year.

Treasure, considering we didnt keep a number 3 emergency Qb, it tells me that had we drafted Mallett, he wouldnt have even made the team with this roster make up, so therefore drafting him would have been a complete waste...
Mallett would not have beaten out Henne or Moore for the number 1 or 2 spot...SO they we would have to drop a WR, to keep him... SO which WR, would you give up for him, to just sit on the bench all season?

It could be argued that perhaps RW could have had a place on this year's dolphins squad, but--in NO WAY can RW be deemed a 'work horse'.

The one year he was utilized as a workhorse by Wannestedt, RW earned a fat incentive bonus, then quit the team--complaining that he was over-worked.

and THAT was when he was much younger. There's no way he can be workhorse at this stage of his career.

Its the same excuse they give for Chad Henne, terrible Oline and Blocking. He's always in fantastic condition and nobody trains harder.

Dude your one of the smarter people here. Are you really going to compare mallet with Pat Delvin or O'conner? I got News for you , Had We drafted Mallet , It would have been Moore or Henne off the Team. Which is EXACTLY WHY he wasn't drafted. winking smiley
