Jason Allen sucks.
Plenty so-so former players of our have played in the post season.
Hell, Larry Izzo has at least one Supper Bowl ring and he was nothing more than a solid special teamer.

btw...Bettis isn't a HOF RB.
The day you put a guy in there that couldn't average 4.0 ypc for his career you should just shut the doors.

Exactly.
Once Fisher is off the board the dynamics change.

I truly hope they don't do it quickly.
My favorite candidates probably aren't going to be available for a few weeks, maybe longer.
Once Fisher is out of the equation, the "quick strike" mentality needs to b

None of those three guys will be there at 8 or 9.

Because The colts have a head coach right now.
Hard for them to be interested in a job that isn't available, no?

Yeah...he was interested whe we were 0-7 and looking at a top 2 pick in a year when Luck, Griffin , Barkley and Jones were likely to enter the draft.
Not so much after we close 6-3, drop to the 8/9th pick and Barkely and Jones go back to school

If we don't get Fisher its going to be for one reason and one reason only. It will be for the very same reason that Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher had zero interest in coaching our team. And that reason is this:
We don't have a franchise QB or a young, highly regarded QB prospect that they can develop into one.

My list With jon Gruden and Cowher staying in the broadcast booth my list is:
Fisher
Jay Gruden
Perte Carmichael Jr.
I'm not really interested in Philbin or Chudzinski or Taub.
We can't talk to Gruden or Carmichael until they lose. So that could be weeks down the road.
This might take a while. People should begin to manage their expectations in that regard.

You are going to choose a team that is starting a rookie, 5th round QB and lost its last 3 games, including one to Indy?
If Schaub is playing, I get it. But I don't think I'm putting Yates in the Ben Roethl

Gruden is coaching this weekend.
He can't interview until after his team loses or during the Super Bowl Bye week if they get that far.
If we hired Mularkey...I'm just might have to become a Giants fan.
