When your team fails to win a Super Bowl for almost 40 years...let alone winning 1 playoff game in the last 10 years...there tends to be a little bit of frustration and negativity when disecting this team. It's great to be patient, but let's be serious...are we really that close to winning a Super Bowl? You could probably name at least 10 teams who are deeper and more ready to win this year a

26 years of frustration can do that. ( I became a fan of Marino's and the Fins in 84). Still and always will be my team. Never can trust Williams again for what he did to the team. Don't care that time has passed. As for Crowder...hate to say it,but he is an average LB at best....with such an important position on our defence, maybe criticism is deserved?

Hoping for the best, but if you think Sparano is a great coach then you are all dillusional. Coaching is so important...aka...decisionmaking at crucial times and he has shown time and time again how clued out he can be. Hope I'm wrong and this team does great...but if the preseason is any indication of how things might go...we could be very bad. Oh Yah...to Crowder52...I think you are

This regime should be on a VERY short leash. After making huge strides in 2008, we have done nothing but regress. Last season and this preseason have been totally frustrating, but all can change if they simply WIN! If you don't beat a weak Buffalo squad this week, then someone needs to take the blame: I'd say it would have to be Ireland/Sparano and Parcells. I hope I'm wrong, but the mis

Not hating the team, just upset with the coach. At times he looks dazed and confused with his decision making. Yes, things happen during a game, but playing LONG in that game had all the makings for a disaster...that's not 2nd guessing him, but rather questionning his lack of common sense.

Hoping that this preseason was just a blemish, but this team and COACH seem to be in dissaray. NO EXCUSES for Sparano playing your TRUE STUD player (LONG) in that meaningless game. Sparano has shown time and time again that he's not among the elite coaches in our league and our team plays like their confused general more often than not. I have a REALLY bad feeling about this Sunday...Spiller

Top 5 fantasy defence can be picked up on waivers....your crazy? A good defence can outscore your TE....so I say its VERY important. The kicker on the other hand can be plucked from the waiver wire and place in the top 10 easily.

Agreed...no way NE or Belichik enter this season with a suspect line....I say they go for protecting Brady over having a potent defence at all costs..... In my opinion...the division is still a struggle between the big 3..hopefully the Fins come out on top. P>S>>> I predict the Jets struggle to a 9-7 finish and our Fins win the division at 11-5 followed by the Pats @ 10-6.

Pat White SUCKS > period! Thigpen is a GREAT backup QB?...based upon what?...a good preseason outing against 3rd stringers? I'd still keep Pennington with half a shoulder over these two. White will be out of the NFL very soon...I'm not even sure if he could make a CFL roster.

I'd debate whether or not he's a better player and/or athlete than Marshall. Let's see how Marshall does with a better team behind him.

We need to keep Pennington, not only as a GREAT backup...but, possibly as our starter. Thru training camp thus far, Penny has looked much sharper than Henne. QB's are targets and in this league you need 2 capable ones to succeed. Love Hennes upside, but wins are what you are judged by and Pennington has done nothing but win.

Rumour has it that he's lobbying for a 2 year GUARANTEED deal....somewhere in the range of $30 million. Wouldn't be surprised if he's not on the field before August ends/

What would it take for Minny to pry Pennington from us? A 1st round pick is probably anywhere from 25-32.

Mike, your posts are informative and I look for them in order to keep up to date with my Fins. Keep up the good work.

Do special teams stats count? Had Josh Cribbs, as a last minute pickup due to injuries, but my league did not count yardage on kickoff returns and/or td returns....basically making him useless to me.

I laugh when I hear how GREAT an owner he was...winning at all costs....Hell, who couldn't win with all the revenue the Yankees generate. Baseball has become a 10 team league, fominated by 2 of these: with the Yankees and/or Red Sox winning 3 out of every 5 championships.

I have: AFC: Baltimore, Indy, Miami and Oakland with the 2 wildcards being the Jets and Texans ...yes Oakland is a real long shot, but I think that San Diego takes a giant step back and Denver and KC both finish with 6 or 7 wins apiece. NFC: Green Bay, San Fran, Dallas and New Orleans along with Chicago and Washington. (Think Cutler, Taylor and Chicago's D bounce back and McNabb is simp

I'd let Rex Ryan invest in the Dolphins if it meant winning a Super Bowl.. To bash Lebron is ridiculous...Cleveland dropped the ball years ago, when they could have extended him at maximum salary. The guy chose Miami and hopefully his winning ways will spread to our Finseven if it means giving him partial ownership!

(Wow I think some are a bit too "optimistic" (i.e., delusional) about this. Marshall isn't going to make this team transform into a playoff powerhouse all by himself. 1) the OL is not a finished product 2) we have no legit TE 3) OLB??? 4) FS??? 5) is Henne the real REAL deal? 6) NT??? 7) Ronnie - is he made of glass? 8) Ricky - how old is he?) -what the hell are

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! CAN YOU SAY DANGEROUS OFFENCE? A LITTLE WILD CAT, A FEW BOMBS HERE AND THERE, 1000 yd RUSHER AND RECEIVER! IF OUR O LINE HOLDS UP, WE ARE FULLY CAPABLE OF HAVING THE #1 OFFENCE IN THE NFL THIS SEASON! JETS CAN HAVE EDWARDS , HOLMES......WE HAVE THE MAN! COCKY BRASH BABY T.O..

Do you think if we had Marshall last season, would we have won the Indy and Saints game?...maybe 2 or 3 others...and then who knows? Take him...he is one of the best wideouts around..hopefully more mature...remember his 21 catches against Indy. This guy would bring our offence into Top 5 territory, with a Top 10 defence, the recipe would be there for a Super Bowl run.

It's definitely disappointing after the Stallworth case last year, to think that a player just wouldn't hop in a cab or something. I still think that he probably felt OK and maybe with his size,etc..{.156} maybe didn't effect him as badly as someone else? Anyways, still disappointing, dangerous,etc....but he desrves another chance and he seems like the type of guy who is remorseful and can
