I agree. I think Grier has done a good job. He appears to be very methodical in his approach which I appreciate. I think Flores coaching style is going to be night-n-day better than Gase. I think the addition of Caldwell to the staff is going to be beneficial. for defense, the whole "Wide 9" scheme always seemed like crap to me. Couldn't stop the run, couldn't pressure the QB

Gase running EVERY aspect of the Jets, Head Coach, GM, VP Player Personnel. What can go wrong???? He hasn't coached a game yet, but I like Flores 1,000,000 times better than Gase.

Agreed. I read a couple of articles on him and watched some videos. Big, tall kid who uses his body/size well. I hope that he can put his past transgressions behind him and shine. This is the kind of pick up that the Patriots have been famous for - taking a flyer on "troubled" player which big upside.

Read an interesting article on Rosen and miami coach Caldwell's influence on other quarterbacks he worked with - Manning, Stafford, Flacco. I look back and get the feeling that previous regimes didn't do a very good job coaching. I think this will come to light this year particularly on defense.

I think there are questions about all of the potential 1st round QB's. I dont think we should use 1st round pick on QB.

Astro34 - I agree. All some of these QBs have to do is throw the ball in the general vicinity of their All-American WRs and the ball gets caught. Also, those receivers get huge separation that doesnt happen in the pros. I do like QBs that play on shit teams and have to throw to crappy wideouts but still succeed. I worry about Drew Lock. Look at his stats against teams that have decent defenses. His stats are way down. He will light up SW Missouri State and the likes for 500 yards and 4 TDs then all but disappears against the SEC elite teams.

I watched Orlando play Birmingham a few weeks ago. Watched about 1-1/2 quarters. I thought it was awful. to me, it looked like the 4th quarter of an NFL preseason game - unwatchable.

Harris may be a bust. I'm not 100% convince that our "Wide 9" scheme and overall poor defensive coaching hasn't contributed to poor play.
