If Jimmy Johnson were doing the drafting I wouldn't feel any need to criticize. Since it's Jeff Ireland, he could be drafting Lawrence Taylor cyborgs and I would still wonder if they were any good. The record speaks for itself, sadly.

Sounds like a special teamer to me. Didn't think they needed to go WR but there were better players available almost everywhere else on the field.

Well, the only WR taken in between was Danny Coale. I don't think anyone here was salivating for him, so good move by Ireland so far. Let's see what the pick is.

The pick is worth something though, this team has a lot of needs. Also, I don't know how much difference there really is between the next 5-6 guys on the board for WR.

I like Miller, but trading up isn't really a BPA strategy, it seems more like a get the guy they want strategy. I think they probably had the deal with SF in place if he fell to that pick.

It's nice to see that Cam Cameron being awful is hurting another team. I understand conserving the TO but those two and-1 plays were terrible. You have almost a minute, get the first down then spike the ball. I hate the damn Patriots and really hate the Ravens for playing to the FG and I guess it is justice that they missed it.

I'm just happy to have a guy who might have some understanding that in the 2010's you need a top QB to be competitive. How long has it been since we had a coach that really valued the QB position properly? - Sparano. I think Tony would have loved to run Denver's style offense and that Pat White was supposed to be "our" Tebow. He ended up with Henne who was a good guy to drop back

He's an RFA, so you don't necessarily need to trade for him. Also the pick 6 was on anything but a deep ball. I don't see BJ Raji out covering the post and fly patterns, but it's an interesting image.

You could have the top 7 wide receivers in the NFL on this team and Henning and Sparano are still going to keep 7 guys blocking so there are only 3 in the pattern. Anyone can defend that. We run conservative sets because Henne goes into instant checkdown mode with any pressure and has no pocket presence. The Patriots do not have a guy like everyone wants and they have the most dynamic offen

Rotating coaches in the NFL is what leads you to being a joke. I'm not sure Sparano is the guy to get this team to the next level, but surely he is hampered by the fact that the front office gave him Henne, Brown, and Williams to work with and they have all been mostly terrible this season. On the other hand, Sparano seems like a guy who gets the most of out crappy players and the least out o

A chop block? Isn't offensive line play the one thing we should be able to count on with this head coach? Inept, stupid, painful to watch, and always willing to make a crappy mistake at the worst time. Your 2010 Miami Dolphins.

I wonder if Sparano will play for the FG here?

Chuckie loved Brady Quinn coming out of college and thought he would be a great NFL QB. So, in terms of identifying QB talent, maybe he's not who is going to really help.

I don't think Henne is very smart. At least, he is not smart in the sense of what you need to be smart about to play in the NFL. He may be better at multiplication than Tom Brady for all I know. The coaches however seem to think he is smarter than he is. I'm not sure who, ultimately, is to blame.

Can we get in the hot tub time machine put a gun to Nick Saban's head and tell him to be nice to Drew Brees?

I presume the difference is that the play calling to set up that FG was pathetic and if you could have gotten him a few yards closer maybe he makes it. On the other hand, it was bad all the way.

I am serious. Obviously alosi is going to say he acted alone and that it wasn't premeditated so nothing is really going to come of the rumors, but I have heard the theory from a few people up here.

Nobody here has mentioned it, but there are all kinds of rumors floating around that Sexy Rexy (or old friend Westhoff) ordered the phalanx after Carroll went so far OOB on an earlier punt return.

Imagine if we held onto the ball.

The problem with the second interception is not just the throw, it's the decision to throw into triple coverage and being locked onto Bess. That is a lot more worrisome to me than a guy with a so-so knee letting the ball go where it shouldn't.

That was third down, the Jets would have punted.

It's pretty pointless anyway since they would have just been even happier to run a g-d draw play but I think I would keep a timeout.

The refs sucked but there is hardly any reason the Dolphins should have only put up 12 points on 4 inside the 30 turnovers. A check down to a full back from your own 30 with under two minutes left? Where are these plays coming from? Why are we paying Brandon Marshall a billion dollars to be a decoy? Why did Sparano blow the third TO? Have your guys prepared for a sneak instead of a FG in

Stupid Fasano. Heene does the right thing knowing he had the 2 minute warning and he drops an easy one. So many little things this team does to screw itself.

Go F!ck yourself NFL. Officials should have made a ruling on the field before the flag was even thrown. Really pathetic officiating to not make that call first...nevermind the linesman being over-emphatic in the first place when there was a loose ball.

The fumble is a bad break. The play is hideous. There is no misdirection and having it in the flat on the sidelines means that Henne has to put all of his attention over there. Since Hartline is just standing there flatfooted to receive the ball there is plenty of time for the defense to react once it is thrown. This is why I'm calling out Henning, not Hartline or Henne. Even perfectly

Why did Henne throw that ball to Hartline? Who designed that play? The fumble is on Hartline but that was a crappy play, it was clearly covered (3 Steelers on the play and no blocking set up at all) and the ball should not have gone there. I think Dan Henning needs to stop putting hallucinogens into his pudding.

So, A KO return for a TD A blocked punt A blocked FG returned for a TD Honestly, they shouldn't even let him back into the lockerroom after the game. Just pack his crap and send it to his house.

For a team that supposedly wants to be conservative and not make a lot of mistakes, they certainly make a ton of mistakes in areas that should be tightened up.
