I beginning to see the overall strategy that the trifecta is implementing here. It makes it a lot clearer when they start sharing information. Moving Starks to NT, and all of a sudden the fog begins to lift. I think overall we are a lot better off than we were at the end of last season and we still have several picks to add depth and hopefully a FS and TE.

OOPs - I forgot about Jacksonville - they lost too. So we may not be any better than picking 11th at best.

Bears and 49'ers won. We will finish with the same record as the Bears. I don't know how the tie breaker works. If the Titans win this afternoon, we will pick no lower than 11th. Could be as high at 10th.

Realist - Thanks for the explanation on how speed differences can have such and impact. I understand it better now. Now I can see how a guy like Bess can be so good in short yardage. It seems blazing speed is not as important for short yardage gains.

I have only seen one game, so I am not an expert on this. However, I have seen several comments on this board about Henne missing open receivers. So my question is, does he have an accuracy problem? If so, can it be corrected? Cam Cameron and Steve Young have said that accuracy is a major criteria for drafting QBs. If they are not accurate coming out of college, its too late to fix it

I saw that show and was amazed Skip Bayless could say the Cowboys were the top rushing team. However, they average 5.9 yds per rush were as we average 4.8. That puts them 1st in the league and us at 5th. Maybe he was using that stat as his rationale. Of course, we run more times per game, so in overall rushing yardage we are ahead of the Cowboys.

I didn't think the broadcast team was biased. I meant the pre-game and after game comments and story-lines.

I turn on ESPN pre-game and all I saw was jets, jets, jets. In 30 minutes they had a 30 second spot on the Dolphins. Then in the game it seems all the questionable calls go against the Dolphins. I couldn't believe that 49 yard pass interference call. Then after the game one of the ESPN announcers says the Jets let one slip away. I think if the Dolphins didn't pull that game out I would have

The Samoans are very family oriented and extended family is really important to them as well. I feel badly for him. They are a kind and friendly people and it will take a long time to rebuild. My son spent 4 months over there and I visited him for 2 weeks. The surf resort he worked for was totally destroyed as well as the village next door. A very sad time for the Samoans. A tragedy like thi

Maybe we should start playing some of our other younger players to see if we can develop them for next year. I am thinking Clemons and Turner and maybe the tight-end we drafted.

I think we need to see if Chad Henne is the long-term answer first. If we lose to San Diego, our chances of making the playoffs will be next to nil. If that is the case, we should start Henne and some of the other players we drafted this year and begin the evaluation process for next season. This will allow us to start developing our latest draft choices and plan for next year's draft.
