By agents to profootballweekly....other teams are Bengals and Ravens for contacting undrafted free agents.

Not sure how the rules work but I hope we aren't giving up draft picks as punishment.

Just read a brief clipping stating that teams could have made deals during brief lift on lockout and not be tampering so we may be ok depending on when contact was made.

isn't the claim we contacted undrafted players after the draft? the lockout was in place during the 2d and 3d days of the draft so that wouldn't help us

I'm going to guess that there have been so many teams contacting undrafted free agents in the day or two after the draft that there will be no punishment.

The Dolphins Suck and you know it. But at this time of the year I've usually recovered enough to look forward to something. This off season they hit us with to much . Where to start?

1) Lets look for a new head coach. remember that trip? It was a fun one that ended with them looking like fools and being turned down by any coach with integrity as Tony Sat there looking like someone ate his Pizza. Don't worry, Mr Ross eventually bought him a new pie, AT OUR EXPENSE.

2) How do we fix a sputtering Offense? lets hire the 2nd worst Offensive Coach in the league!Yeah!! GO MIAMI!

3) Our #1 reciever who cost us 2 #2 draft picks is stabbed by his wife. No, that won't effect his play at all right? Looking forward to the distracting legal proceedings.

4) After one of the most dissapointing QB performances since Ray lucus , This team has not given him any competition for the spot.We have 2 very capable backs, but lets draft us a new one. Let me ask you this........Henne is given all these chances because the reasoning is that he had no help. No Oline. OK. How come Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown are not given the same chance? OK Brown is looking for a Payday. But Ricky could be had cheap. More then enough to get us through 2 more yrs and get us a another RB. What was the reason for the desperate move up for thomas? Too many other options there.

I don't see us as a better team. This NFL Lockout BS is also having its Toll on me.

I agree with all of the above except the point about the RBs. Brown and Williams are not "more than capable" they are washed up, and unsigned. I don't think resigning one of both of them to "fix" the running game is a step forward. Although I'm not seeing it in the films clips I've seen, Thomas is supposed to be anywhere from the 3d to 5th best RB in the draft and was supposed to go in the 2d round or early 3d. So I don't have a problem with that selection.
As for the QB, we've been over the draft/don't draft issue a million times; we didn't get one but I am sure we are going to sign a Vet to give Henne competition and he won't be handed the job.
Your other points are solid.

Fair enough but why are Brown and Williams "Washed up"? Why aren't they given the same reasonable doubt and atribute their bad season to a crappy Oline and No vertical passing game? (And the fact that Henne telegraphed every run play before the snap?)

Ronnie brown might be expensive so I can understand being hesitant
to resign him. But Williams can be had for 2 yrs 5-6 Million. His legs are still very fresh. He's a capable reciever with decent burst.I don't really have a problem with Thomas , but I don't understand the desperate RUSH to get him. The frantic Move up. Not with so many other options at a posistion thats turned over every 5 yrs anyhow. (As evidenced by Ronnie Brown). Not with a glaring hole at QB.
