So there ya have it out of MIA/NE my money is on NE pulling the trigger instead of MIA.
Again if no trade up happens, or some other team does it then I aint paying s.it, only if MIA pulls the trigger on this trade will I pay the $40 bucks.

Your right It's irrational thought to believe that NE could be the other team, because for some reason you believe that NE is going to wait another 2 or 3 years to draft Brady's replacement.
Granted they could wait, do some moving around, and get Luck next year, but I don't think that is the course.
They could take a QB like Ponder, or Locker in the late first or second, possible, but why?
They could make a move for Mallett, could take a Capernick in the mid's, or a McElroy in the late, but I don't think so.
Like I said if I where Belicheat, and I really liked a Gabbert, or Newton, then I would trade up to get them.
Why? because I have s.it on the roster to back up Brady, the CBA screwing up the F/A, and I would have the picks to do so.
That was my thinking regarding this rumor, versus trying to make a case for another team, who doesnt have the luxery of a future QB pick, but has enough talent on the team to warrant not trading away all our decent picks for a project QB, especially when we have some critical needs at other positions to upgrade.
My scenario, although might not make much sense to you characters, makes alot more sense to me, than seeing Mia trade the house to get Gabbert, especially since we all know Ireland want's that second round pick back for Marshall.

You would like that wouldnt you?
No dice to your bet, just because I don't care to much for you that much, so therefore I won't bet you anything Phinsfan, especially somthing that would give you that much pleasure.
I layed down my terms to Dolphaholic, either you accept it or don't that's fine.
No I don't take more than one bet at a time, so anyone else will have to bet somone else.
happy to take your original bet MIA1.
that bet is: NE trades up in the first round and takes a QB (any Q.
How much, $100, $200? Name it.
you know you're going to lose, so now it sounds like you are changing the bet to "NE trades up in the draft." Well duh, they have a million picks, that is very likely as anyone can see.
The whole point of your argument with me and at least 3 others on this thread is that they are going to trade up in the first for a *QB*. So are you going to put your $ where you mouth is, or are you backing off and admitting you are wrong?
Ok first I want to thank everyone for joining in on the fun.
Now I offered a bet, and Dolphaholic was the first to join in on it.
I layed down my term's and stances.
If he declines, then Berkeley your welcome to make a wager.
I do not do anything besides $40 bucks, because Im not made of money, and It still makes it fun, rather than ulcer indusing vomit of losing alot of cash.
Phinsfan, I find your bet rather insulting, to every dolphin fan everywhere, and really you should be ashamed for even typing that.
Just the most low dissrespectfull thing you ever typed, and you should be ashamed at your self, because your better than that.
I didnt change a bet Berk, you can bring up my bet to Dolphaholic.
Which was $40 dollars, that "IF" out of two team's being, Mia/NE according to the "RUMOR" that a team picking in the teen's is thinking of trading up with Dallas, that It would be NE over MIA.
That was my point, not NE not trading up, or Mia trading up.
You guy's putting words in my mouth.
It's in writing boy's you can bring it up if you want.
I made a friendly wager that if this "trade up" between the two teams would to happen, that it would be NE instead of MIA, not that Im guaranteeing that NE is deff going to trade up.

Sorry Dolphaholic, No dice on that, I could not really care that the Pats will trade up, I just making a point that according to a rumor, that it would be NE over MIA.

Ok so we are on the same page. That's why I am like why is everyone so hell bent on them moving up?
I agree that in the unlikely event that this rumor where to come to fruition, that NE woud be the more natural choice.
I can see this team trading down and using our newley acquired pick on Mallet in the latter of the first round. I would be ok with that, if we got a second round and used it on a C or G.
Well that's prob true, but If a coach or GM really likes a player, it's not out of the league to go after a QB in a trade up scenario, even if your starter is Brady. 2 years ago, no but Brady 4 years left max.
NE is going to get one in the next 3 years, and they have the firepower to pull the trigger this year, thats why I mentioned that if this rumor where true, then that was the team in my mind that made the most sense.
But if the Pats Move up it has to be someone with pretty hair. No one like that in this draft..........Then again Tom can always take him under his wing and show him a good weave person. Maybe even get him a supermodel leftover.
