I think your observation speaks volumes.

Clearly, we need to acquire a top QB. The draft may provide little, so we must secure someone better than CH.
If the Skins release McNabb we should give him a tryout. He's clearly not worthy of the Daniel Snyder big contract money from last year. It worth a tryout and at best a 1 year deal with incentives.

I'd swap 1st round picks and give them Henne and Hartline.
No more journeymen, no more has beens, and PLEASE GOD no more 'find a lower rounds diamond' philosophy. Trade up, pay the price and at least have a 50-50 chance of getting a winner.
The next couple of years look like the most promising in a while for QB talent. Go get one Sparano!!!
I used to be a BIG Vince Young fan. I attended UT for 3 years and have a soft spot for the Longhorns. I was enthralled by the way he, almost single handedly, beat USC to win the national championship.
But, I'm realistic. Headcase QBs RARELY get out of that funk and succeed. Jeff George was a perfect example. If that guy could have matured and played within himself, he could have been a HoF QB. He had all the tools to be great, but his tantrums kept getting in the way. Then there's Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell. BOTH could have been all-world QBs, but BOTH let their egos and attitudes get the better of them. I'm not sure we could turn VY and point him the right direction. I'm worried he'd "fall of the wagon" eventually.

Hmmmmm, lets see 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. 7 is the number of lick's that it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop!
