Who will become the offensive coordinator? Any thoughts? Wishes?

Now that the emotions have been tempered, I will try this again. Are there any innovative and aggressive offensive coordinator candidates out there?

With all the craziness lately and still uncertainty in several areas I think we may have trouble enticing an experienced OC.

I think we my end up looking at giving someone their initial shot as an OC (read: HUNGRY). I am thinking Bill Musgrave from Atlanta and maybe Pennigton as QB coach

Jed Fisch? Quarterback coach of Seattle. So far in my search he seems interesting and viable.

Bill O'Brien is on my wish list, the QB Coach/NE Patriots, but he is a NE native so it's very unlikely he's going anywhere.

Yeah I don't see that happening. Isn't he essentially their OC anyhow?

Twilley, he is a part of the Pats week to week prep team...as I understand it the coaches, assistants and players all put in their 2 cents for each seperate opponent each week, with Bellichek getting the final word on how they will prepare. It's quite intriguing really.

Jed Fisch? Wow that is a horribly disgusting name. I hope he doesnt become our OC. Lol I would like McDaniels, or Childress.

Also make Nolan, DC/ Assistant HC.!!!

Mia1, what is up with you judging people's name? LOL...smiling bouncing smiley

Anywho.....I say we go after Scott Linehan and make him Asst. Head Coach.

I believe that would be enough to get him from the Lions.

Dark horse candidate: Paul Chryst.

Armando Salguero said they were looking for NFL experience at the position.

Chris Palmer- long ties with Sparano, lots of NFL experience

Bill Musgrave- QB coach in Atlanta, and was an OC for Carolina and Jags. Lots of credit for developing Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub.

Maurice Carthon- asst head coach in KC, Parcells connection, was an OC for Detroit, Dallas, and Cleveland

Rob Chudzinski- asst head coach in SD, was an OC for the Browns and UMiami

Karl Dorrell- current Fins WR coach, 6 years as an OC at the college level

Jimmy Raye- fired last year as OC in San Fran, held OC jobs with Oakland and Washington, too. With Sparano in Washington.

John Garrett- TE coach of the Cowboys, Jason's brother, was with Sparano and Ireland in Dallas.

Pete Carmichael- OC in New Orleans. Fins tried to get him in '08, but Saints denied permission to talk to him. Would have to offer him Assistant Head Coach title in order to get him.

The Saints one would be a nice addition. The other I may think of even though they were destroyed by the Baltimore Mynah Birds with Mendelssohn's music included would be Charlie Weis.Need to see what the KC Little Hiawathas had to say about that.

Thanks. Had completely forgotten that fact. Guess I was thinking back to the Wanny-Bum-stedt days, when at some point he sounded to be a possible candidate for HC. That of course, before what came to be the Notre Dame fiasco.Thank you ESPN.Experts in promoting and accelerating the firing of coaches.

hey buddy, my last name is Fish, which is close enough to Fisch, so i dont like that talk now! lol

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

I don't see many options but I would not mind Josh McD as much as I think he is a jerk of a h.c.. With limited control (OC) he could be a great fit. He has a proven track record with developing QB's. He knows NE's offense and Belichick.

other candidates that may soon be rising in the ranks....

Russ Grimm
Joe Lombardi (N.O. QB coach & grandson of Vince)
Greg Knapp (Texans QB coach)

anyone have any other ideas?
