Gabbert is way faster and much more mobile than Flacco, Luck is too.

Mallett is not, though. He is definately in the Marino mold. He has *ZERO* mobility.

I thought Luck played great last night. He looked the part of a #1 pick. He did 'wow' me in the 2nd half and his leadership and knowledge were very evident.

The guy honestly looked like John Elway.

I think we are splitting hairs on Mallett/Flacco. I honestly do see the similarities between the two.

Although I think Mallett looks a little more natural of a passer than Flacco.

Luck is 6'4 235. Elway was listed at 6'3 215. Jim Kelly 6'3 225.

I like Mallett. I like him alot, matter of fact, I think he has more of a ceiling than Flacco does.

I do see the similarities between the two, and I can see the comparisons.

But, I think Mallett will be better than Flacco. Maybe I will be wrong though, but I think Mallett will be.

Marino did NOT have ZERO mobility. He was extremely elusive in the pocket. He could duck out of the way of a rushing LB and throw a completion in a split second. Can Mallett do that?

I will disagree, Mallett is horrible at throwing on the run.

Agree. Marino (before the achilles tendon rupture and knee degeneration) Marino was “surprising mobile.” Just ask Ditka about the ’85 Bears Monday night game.

Beyond that, Dan’s pocket sense and pocket mobility where as good as it gets.

Another point: Plugs is a pathetic athlete (for a huge laugh go back and watch his combine workouts) but he moves just enough to be lethal. And of course he get’s the benefit of legalized holding on every pass and usually has 10 seconds to throw.

It’s great to have a really impressive athlete at the QB position, but Plugs proves the athletic component is NOT the foremost consideration. I’m not an advocate of the flag football rules and “Brady rule” some QB’s play under but that’s what this league is all about.

I can make a youtube video that makes Chad Henne and Dan Henning look good.


Trust me, Ted Ginn looked like the greatest player ever 3 years ago when we were all drooling over his youtube videos.
