What he did was totally uncalled for and needs to be nailed. He won't though just like there was nothing done to the fullback that spit in Crowder's face during the Baltimore game. We are the step children of the NFL.
The hosts of the Jets Post Game show, just said oh this happens all the time if the player runs out of bounds the people on the side line are not looking to see who is coming,,,,, Hey Jerk he stuck his knee out.....

The only difference I see is that the McSorely incident was in Canada, IIRC.. But I could be dead wrong as I NEVER follow hockey. But here in Boston at the time that was all over the local sportscasts even though the Bruins weren't directly involved.
If it were indeed in Canada, their criminal justice laws would have applied instead of ours.
IMO this should result in a fine, HOPEFULLY a termination...I doubt it will go to a criminal case though. They'd argue that he only stuck is knee out a little bit and he didn't go all the way onto the field. And the jury would be made up of Jets fans anyway.

It was all over the news because McSorley was playing for the Bruins at the time. But I believe you are correct. They were playing the Vancouver Canucks and I think the game was in Canada.

Whoops, thanks. At least I freely admitted I didn't pay attention to Hockey...but I should have at least remembered that McSorley was on the Bruins.
I guess I was thrown off by hearing about players from other teams testifying as character witnesses *in favor of* mcSorley.

Exactly what I want to see as well.
If the Jets want to show the league and it's fans they are a 1st class organization THEY should terminate the guy and state there is no place in the NFL for that kind of bullshat.
That was so unprofessional for a staff member to do that... I really hope he's fired! absolutely unprofessional and I'd be saying the exact same thing if this was the other way around.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll was tripped by the New York Jets' strength and conditioning coach on the sideline while covering a punt in the third quarter of Miami's 10-6 victory Sunday.
------SNIP------------
Even after admitting it and apologizing to everyone this will probably still cost him his job and I think he knows that.

Mod's note. I had to edit your post by removing lots of text because apparently you posted an entire article (or a VERY long excerpt). Please post only a line or two and the link to the original article.
Thanks

NJ is the lawsuit capital of the world. That's why insurance rates are so high there. I know. I used to live there!

Wont matter, they are crashing and burning now. The Jets are spiraling out of control
