Did Chad Henne play defense against Appalachian State? He threw for 233 yards against them, with 1 TD and 1 INT. Mike Hart ran for 190 yards that day, so Henne wasn't really leaned on to carry the offense in that game. The Michigan defense was awful that day.

I am a real Michigan fan. And I do know what I am talking about. And the fact that you would question Henne's leadership shows that you didn't follow his career. Henne was a tremendous leader at Michigan. And it was particularly true his senior year, when he played through the injuries. The Michigan State game was amazing, how he rallied the team with 4 TD passes while he was clearly in major pain, and his ability to throw was compromised.
