I agree Crowder52, but I still think Dan Henning needs to go. His play calling has been called into question not only by fans but by writers all season. I also think he's holding the reins too tight on Henne. I think Henne is being too cautious, and I'd like to see what he could do if he played a bit more like Brett Favre. I'm not asking for reckless abandon, but a little more creativity would be nice to see. It's THEN that we can find out what kind of QB Henne really is.

What is your point? I read the comment 3 times and I have yet to find one other then I should not try and call people foolish on any terms, even if they are being so. Ok

And something about our Regime being compared to Russian spies and that is why it is ok to be against them and Cam Cameron falling forward.... Seriously, what are we talking about here?

My point is, throwing everybody under the bus is foolish with nothing inline that is a better alternative, on any level... If you told me some great OC was available and we could get him then I would be open to it. But to just say Fire Henning and Replace Henne, and put in whoever, sounds more like a Cam Cameronism if I have ever heard one, and an obvious plan for disaster. Cowher took a long time to become successful and win the show. If you like his way, it is foolish to not give this Regime a real shot. If not you will be saying to fire Cowher in 2.5 years and then where will we be. Nowhere, which is my point? That is actually how you end up with a guy like Cam Cameron, who doesn belong being a HC, because nothing was lined up and he was what appear to be the best available. Cowher 17 years or Cam Cameron= failure. I will take my chances with this Regime.

Monetqui- WHo do we replace Henning with? To just say fire him with no alternative named, doesnt sound smart to me.

I happen to think this regime is getting a fair shot. Do you think they would say otherwise?

Don't you think they'd take 100% responsibility for the team?

If you haven't noticed the "secrecy" this regime operates under I can’t help you…

The Cam quote is sarcasm. Nothing more.

Oh how I miss his amazing insight…(Cam’s that is…)

Yes I do think they feel they are 100 percent responsible for what has taken place under their watch.
But in 2.5 years, I think they are proud of the progress and accomplishments, unlike the way you are portraying it

Secrecy is not a bad thing? The most winning franchise in the NFL, over the last decade has been the most secretive team...

And BTW, I don't think Henning is a "bad coach." But he is a tad on the back 9 for sure.

As far a Sparano. He seems like a great guy and I believe the team plays hard for him. I'm less than sold on his game management, and really couldn’t tell you where his "football genius" is. Supposedly he’s an OL guy. So far he doesn’t seem to have the football IQ of dudes like Shanahan, Holmgren, or those Bill Walsh guys…

Oh wait. He’s a smash-mouth Parcells dude. Time will tell if that approach still wins Super Bowls. I think it can – but it’s predicated on having a physically superior team as opposed to superior coaching…

Unless you're one of those celeb part owners don't be afraid to be critical. A lot of the secrecy around this team just seems overly contrived IMO. I mean its not like they're hiding nukes at training camp. Are they?

I like Pennington as a coach, but I would bet they move up Donald Lee or Karl Dorrell, and move Pennington to QB coach first before he got a shot at OC. So IMo, if Henning leaves Dorrell or Lee are his planned replacements

i think pennington already is for all intensive purposes our QB coach just listed as a player still

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

I agree - Pennington is a defacto coach already...

Couldn't of said it any better Crowder, the Dolphins aren't un-bearable to watch but this board has become un-bearable to read.

I should have been clearer. I'm for firing Henning...at the end of the season. Doing it NOW would be suicide. There WILL be other coaches available in the off-season. Norv Turner is one (unless San Diego has a major turnaround, he'll be fired in the offseason), but he's been the OC here before so I'm not sure that would work.

Wonder what Gary Stevens and Don Strock are up to.

Montequi-
I have a feeling that if Henning steps down and retires after this year, which is highly possible, that he will be replaced by Coach Lee or Coach Dorrell. I dont think Norv Turner is neccesarily an upgrade over Henning. Don Strock has never been OC in the NFL, so that sounds a bit risky. Gary Stevens the offensive cordinator from the mid 90's? If so that sounds a bit risky as well.
I am just not overly confident in these options, although I do like both Lee and Dorrel. I am not saying one of these guys you mention couldn't do a good job, but I do not see it as a no brainer to replace Henning with any of these guys.

You got to start SOMEWHERE. Strock was a QB coach for the Ravens, and he's been a HC at the college level. I know, it's risky, but who knows?

We had a really creative and complex offense back then. Of course, we had Marino to execute it.

You're right it could have been Jaws who said that but it also could have been Don Strock, who might be more accessible to a local reporter like Salguero

I've finally turned on Dan Henning.

The playcalling is absolutely HORRIBLE.

3rd and 6 deep in enemy territory: power run

3rd and 11: power running formation, play action pass

Really?

The "shake my head" comment convinces me its Jaworski. That's one of the expressions he likes to use. Its also part of his job to watch film and study teams. Even when he was playing, Strock preferred to be out on the golf course. And Strock played for Henning during his first tenure as our offensive coordinator.

Good points; plus I don't recall Strock ever talking badly about anybody.
